In an effort to preserve some of the history of our community, The Times is displaying photos of Henry County from the past. Thanks to Kathy Griffin Maddox who told us that this is the Hampton Hornets girls basketball team in Hampton.

A big thanks to Vivian Lynch for sending us this photo! She thinks that it was taken around 1967 or ‘68. Vivian wrote, “I can’t remember everyone’s name, but some of the girls are Elaine Denney, Yvette Watkins, Donna Spivey, Debbie Brooks, Brenda Johnson, Iris Patterson and me.”
