Donald Eugene Milojevich GySgt Donald Eugene Milojevich, known to his family and friends as Milo, age 46, of McDonough, GA passed away January 22, 2012. Milo was born in Harrisburg, PA and loved serving his country in the US Marine Corps for 22 years and had many accomplishments and received many awards. Milo enjoyed spending time with his wife and children as well as his family and friends. A man of many passions, such as his support for the Pittsburg Steelers and the GA Bulldogs, he was most passionate traveling the world with his family. Survivors are his loving wife, Maria Milojevich of McDonough; children, Cortney Hatmaker of McDonough, Christopher Milojevich of McDonough and Kyle McGahey of McDonough; father-in-law and mother-in-law, David and Melanie Cook of Brooks; brothers and sister-in-law, Jason and Dianne Cook of Brooks and Joe Cook of Griffin; mother and stepfather, Charlene and Fred Lucabaugh of PA; siblings, Mike Milojevich, Debbie Kosch and Susan Lacabaugh all of PA; several nieces and nephews. Neal R. Carlson Dr. Neal R. Carlson, age 88 of McDonough, GA died January 23, 2012 at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta after losing a courageous battle against double pneumonia and heart disease. Neal was born in Fruithurst, AL on August 7, 1923, the youngest of ten children, to the late Ernest Rudolph and Anna Malloch Carlson. He learned the value of hard work and thriftiness growing up on a farm in East Alabama during the depression years. Neal was drafted into the U.S. Army Infantry Division in 1944, and sent to the European Theatre where he fought against the Germans in the Battle of the Bulge, the largest and deadliest ground battle of WWII. He continued his service in the army in the 2nd Combat Engineer Battalion where he operated bulldozers, set explosives, planted demolition, and cut roads. Neal also fought in the Ruhr Valley and Rhine River Crossing Battles as the Allies continued their push into Germany. After his service in WWII, Neal took advantage of the GI Bill to earn a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Auburn University in 1956. Neal opened his first veterinary clinic, Glenwood Small Animal Clinic, in Decatur. He opened three more clinics in South DeKalb, Conyers, and Covington. Neal was a skilled veterinary surgeon, but is probably best remembered by his former clients for his compassionate and caring treatment of their pets. He could be found most Saturday’s in the fall at Jordan-Hare stadium in Auburn cheering on his beloved Auburn Tigers. Neal will be remembered by his family and friends for his wisdom and quick wit, and his passion for Auburn football, his work, his family, and his country. Neal is preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Elizabeth Young Carlson. Neal is survived by his children Ernie and Wendy Carlson of Auburn, Al, Karen and Andy Higgins of McDonough, and Steve and Bonnie Carlson of Charlotte, NC.; his grandchildren Justin Carlson, Cody Carlson, Philip Carlson, Daniel Carlson, Jake Higgins, and Anna Malloch Carlson; great-grandson Houston Carlson; sister-in-law Charlotte Mobley of Dillard, GA; and, brother-in-law Col. Francis Naughton of Norcross, GA. Funeral services were held January 26 at the chapel of Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors. Interment East Lawn Memorial Gardens. Carl J. Parker, Jr. Carl J. Parker, Jr, age 90, of Stockbridge, GA died Wednesday, January 25, 2012. He was born in Atlanta, GA to the late Carl Jackson and Luana Johnson Parker. Carl was a member of Salem Baptist Church, McDonough and a former member of Indian Creek Baptist and Liberty Hill Baptist where he formerly served as a Deacon. He was a Navy Veteran serving during WWII and the Korean Conflict. Mr. Parker retired from Atlanta Army Depot and then was one of the founders of Continental Investor Services retiring in 2006 at the age of 85. He was very active in his community. He was a member of the Miller’s Mill breakfast club, the Hampton Masonic Lodge, the Henry County Rotary Club and the Chamber of Commerce. Carl enjoyed gardening and travel. Mr. Parker, Jr is survived by his wife, Betty Griffin Parker, Stockbridge; daughter, Mary (Andy) Peters, McDonough; siblings, Ethel Foster, McDonough, Carolyn McCoy, McDonough, Thelma Johnson, Hampton, Harold Parker, Hampton, Helen Steele, Stockbridge; grandchildren, Christopher Andrew Peters, Joel Brendon Peters, Kayla Beth Peters; great-grandchildren, An-drew, Elle, Ava, Emme, and Tucker Peters. Nancy B. Young Nancy B. Young, age 80, of McDonough, GA died January 25, 2012. She was born in Charlotte, NC to the late James Oren Bradford and Billie Millier Stewart. Nancy retired as Executive Vice President with Mass Mutual Insurance after 38 years of dedicated service. She was preceded in death by her husband, William L. Young. Nancy is survived by her children: Deborah Anne (Tom) Lackey, Mary Elizabeth (Jimmy) Brown, Nancy Robin (Michael) Nix, Eugene Bradford (Marla) Coon; grandchildren: J.W. Charles Wayne Littlejohn, Sr. Charles Wayne Littlejohn, Sr., age 69, of Locust Grove, GA died January 26, 2012. He was born in Lafayette, GA to the late Ralph Russell and Ruby Lee Littlejohn. He had been a maintenance manager with M & M Products for several years. He is survived by daughters: Sandra (Dennis) Sampson, Locust Grove, Cynthia Jo Littlejohn, College Park, Candis (Kris) Beggs, Covington; sons: Charles Wayne Littlejohn, Jr., Iowa Falls, IA, Paul Russell (Lori) Littlejohn, Roopville, Thomas Drake Littlejohn, McDonough, brother: Ed (Kathryn) Littlejohn, Dahlonega; Sister: Sue (Dewey) Harris, Hickson, TN; 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Louise Littlejohn. Earnest Eugene Harville Earnest Eugene “Gene” Harville, 75, of McDonough, passed on Sunday, January 29, 2012. He was preceded in death by his parents John William Harville, Sr. and Mittie Conner; other family members, Charles Freeman, Lena King, Robert Freeman, and Henry Bertsch. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Carolyn Harville; daughter Jana Carver and her husband Edward of McDonough; sons Jim Pitts and Joseph Harville of Palatka, FL, Jerry Pitts of Colorado; 9 grandchildren, Beau, Amanda, Jeremy, James Lee, Josh, John Earnest, Alyssa, Michael, and Kylie; 7 great-grandchildren, Kristen, Damon, Damian, Abby, Gabby, Gracie, and Jayce; and brother, J.W. Harville of McDonough. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, February 1 at New Hope Baptist Cemetery, Fayetteville.
