Henry County Moose

  The Henry County Moose Family Center is having a bar-b-que on Saturday, October 13 from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. For $8 per plate, you will get bar-b-que, stew, slaw and chips. The Moose Family Center is located on Hwy. 155 1/4 mile west of I-75. For more information, please call 770-957-5303.


Henry Arts Alliance hosts Arts in Unusual Places event

  Arts in Unusual Places will be held by the Henry Arts Alliance on the grounds of Heritage Park’s Nolan House in McDonough on Saturday, October 13 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Participants can take part in canvas painting, be entertained with story reading and story illustration as well as get a sneak peek of some of the decorated pumpkins from this year’s Traveling Pumpkins parade.


Farm Bureau Meeting

  Henry County Farm Bureau will hold its Annual Meeting of Farmer Members on  Monday, October 22 at the office at 117 Racetrack Road, McDonough at 7 p.m.


Hampton Events

  The Hampton Depot will be haunted October 26 - 27 from 7 - 10 p.m. The cost is $3 per ticket. The Chili Cook Off will be held on October 13 from 2 to 5 p.m. in Hampton Depot Park. Henry County Marines

  The Henry County Leathernecks Marine detachment meets the third Monday of each month at 5 p.m. at Heritage Park in the County Extension building at 101 Lake Dow Road in McDonough. Visit for more information.


McDonough hosts Job Fair

  The City of McDonough will be hosting their annual Job Fair on Friday, October 19. This event will be held from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the McDonough Presbyterian Church located at 427 McGarity Road in McDonough. For more information, please call 770-957-3915. This is a free event.


Genelogical Society Meeting

  The Genealogical Society of Henry and Clayton Counties, Inc. cordially invites you to their meeting  Saturday, November 19 at 10 a.m. in the Educational Building, First Baptist Church of McDonough, GA. The speaker will be Dr. William J. Morton and his program will be ”The Story of Georgia’s Boundaries, A Meeting of History & Geography.” This meeting is free and open to the public. Join them for refreshments at the historic Brown House following the meeting.
