Locust Grove Events

  Girls Night in The Grove will be November 29 from 6 until 9 p.m. in Historic Downtown Locust Grove. There will be lots of shopping, a winter fashion show, cider, music and a visit by our favorite girlfriend “Maxine.” Call 770-692-2320 for more info.

Hampton Events

  Hampton has a Gingerbread House Contest going on. Build a gingerbread house for display on December 1 from 9 a.m. to noon in the Historic Hampton Depot. Bring it in between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Friday, November 30 or before 9 a.m. on Saturday, December 1. Ribbons for everyone! All ages welcome. Also on December 1 their Holiday Market will be from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Find baked goods, jams and jellies, arts and crafts for the holidays. For more info call 770-946-4306.

Blood Drive

  Blood banks are currently experiencing a dire shortage of blood. To combat this there will be a blood drive on Saturday, December 1 from noon until 5 p.m. at the Hampton Masonic Lodge #70, located at 34 McDonough Street in Hampton.

Christmas with the Arts

  The Henry Arts Alliance’s Christmas with the Arts is Sunday, December 2 at 3 p.m. at the Henry County Schools Performing Arts Center. Tickets are $5.

Christmas Tree Lighting

  Piedmont Henry Hospital presents its 10th Annual Christmas Tree Lighting on Thursday, December 6 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on the hospital’s South lawn. Enjoy refreshments, hayrides with Santa courtesy of Southern Belle Farm and music provided by local choirs including Piedmont Henry’s Employee Choir.
