Special photo

The Times traveled with McDonough residents Bill and Clare Evon. They went on a 15-night cruise to Hawaii this November in celebration of their 45th anniversary and visited Hilo, Kona, Maui, Lahaina, and Honolulu. They enjoyed seeing Volcanoes National Park, the Maui Ocean Center Aquarium and a tropical plantation. Also, they were at Pearl Harbor on Veterans’ Day. The weather was balmy and ideally warm. They ate mostly on the ship, but did sample the delicious menu at “Cheeseburger in Paradise.”
