Henry County Tea Party

  The Henry County Tea Party will meet Thursday,  January 31 from 7 until 8 p.m. at the Community Annex Room (Public Safety Complex) located at 116 Zack Hinton Parkway in McDonough.

 

NAMI Meeting

  National Alliance on Mental Illness meetings are held at Jodeco Road United Methodist Church every Thursday night from 7 - 8:30 p.m. sharp. There are two meetings; one for consumers and one for families. Coffee and water are served. The church is located at 1500 Jodeco Road in Stockbridge. McDonough Softball Sign-ups

  McDonough Youth Association will hold registration for softball on January 26 and February 2 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Alexander Park, located at 300 Atlanta Street in McDonough. Visit www.mcdonoughyouth.com  and click on softball for more info.

 

Henry County Beekeepers Short Course

  There will be a Henry County Beekeepers Short Course on Saturday, February 16 from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. It will be held at the Public Safety Building, 116 Zack Hinton Pkwy South in McDonough. Topics covered will be: meeting the Honey Bee Colony, equipment assembly, ways to procure and install, smoker lighting, hive manipulation, extracting your honey, and issues facing the beekeeper. There will be time for questions afterward. The pre-registration program fee is $25 before or $30  at the door. Cub Scouts

  Faith Baptist Church, located at 346 Highway 138 E (Corner of Highway 138 and Millers Mill Road) in Stockbridge, is now sponsoring Cub Scout Pack 346.  This Cub Scout Pack is open to boys in Grades 1 - 5 and meets on Tuesday evenings. Spring Soccer Registration

  Henry County Spring season soccer registration is open for boys and girls ages u3-u19 and Adults Over 30 online at www.hcsa.org. Onsite registration is available at the Mt. Carmel Soccer Complex, 307 North Mount Carmel Road in Hampton  from 6 until 8 p.m. on January 24 and from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. on January 26. Waiting list begins February 1. Basic Genealogy Classes

  The Genealogical Society of Henry and Clayton Counties, Inc. invites you to attend four free Basic Genealogy Classes to be held January 25 and February 1. On February 8 they will take a trip to the Georgia Archives. Classes are to be held at the Brown House, 71 Macon Street in McDonough beginning at 11 a.m. Please email sjoverstreet@bellsouth.net for class registration.
