Penny Darlene Boyd Sanders
Ms. Penny Darlene Boyd Sanders, age 56, of McDonough, GA passed away January 14, 2013. Penny enjoyed spending time with family and friends and spoiling her granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her father, Elbert J. Boyd.
Survivors are her daughter and son-in-law, Stacy and Chris Stamps of Jackson, granddaughter, Savannah English of Jackson; mother, Jean Boyd of McDonough; siblings, Bill Boyd of Newnan, Danny Boyd of Fayetteville, and Kim Holland of McDonough; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Sylvia C. Allen
Sylvia C. Allen, age 95, of McDonough, GA died January 14, 2013. She was born in Aliquippa, PA to the late Nick and Ana Calugar. Sylvia was a member of Salem Baptist Church in McDonough. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Bradley Allen, son, Peter Allen and daughter, Susan Allen.
Ms. Allen is survived by her son, John Allen, of McDonough; siblings, George Calugar, Niles, OH and Chuck Calugar, Newbury, OR; grandchildren, Ryan Blakney and Amanda Allen; great grandchildren, Susie, Paisley and Rosalie.

Gwen B. Pruitt
Gwen B. Pruitt, age 82, of McDonough, GA died January 15, 2013. She was born in Oshkosh, WI to the late George Sherman and Golda Stever Bunker. Gwen was a member of Peoples Baptist Church. She always put others before herself. Gwen worked for Lake City Healthcare for 17 years, treating her patients with love, respect, and dignity.
She is survived by her children, John Thomas (Elizabeth Ann) Pruitt, Penny Jean (Gary Lee) Adams and Timothy Quinn Pruitt; sister, Zilla Foote; grandchildren, Michelle Satterfield, Shaun Thomas Pruitt, Brittany Pruitt, Elyse Adams, Levi Timothy Gene Pruitt; great - grandchildren, Madison Satter-field, Caitlin Pruitt, McKenna Satterfield; and Gwen's closest friend, Eleanor “Ellie” Edens.

Roger Lanier McLendon
Mr. Roger “Mann” Lanier McLendon, age 67, of McDon-ough, Georgia passed away January 15, 2013. Roger was born in Locust Grove, the son of the late Roger Henry and Vinnie Thomas McLendon. He served his country in the US Army from 1968-1969. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, spoiling his grandchildren, working in the yard and wood working. He was an avid Braves fan and was known for his painting skills. He was preceded in death by a brother, Donnie McLendon.
Survivors are his wife, Diane Biles McLendon of McDonough; children, Michelle Kennedy (Garry) of McDonough and Michael McLendon (Heather) of The Rock, grandchildren, Katie, Liezel, Keeton and Toryn Kennedy and Aubree, Anslee, Adalyn McLendon; sister, Patricia Cook of Griffin, Geraldine Campbell of Jonesboro, and Jack McLendon of Locust Grove and several nieces and nephews.

Jane Golden Pate
Mrs. Jane Golden Pate, age 74, of McDonough, GA passed away January 16, 2013. Mrs. Pate was born in Homerville, GA the daughter of the late Curtis and Mary Alma Finley Golden. She was a member of Second Baptist Church of Forest Park. Jane worked at Emory-Midtown better known as Crawford W. Long Hospital as a Administrative Nursing Super-visor for 53 years. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, gardening, traveling, walking and board games. Jane was an active member of the Crawford W. Long School of Nursing Alumni.
Survivors are her husband of 54 years, Ray Pate of McDonough; children, Linda Mitchell (Mark) of McDonough, Sandra Allen (Barry) of Suwanee, and Cynthia Pate of McDonough; grandchildren, Hannah and Adan Mitchell, and Cory Tanajewski; sister, Jo Key of McDonough.

Mr. Romualdo Castillo “Don Romualdo,” age 70, of McDon-ough, Georgia passed away January 17, 2013. He was born in Magiscatzin, Tamaulipas, Mexico. Don Romualdo was the son of the late Gerardo Castillo Arzamendi and Evodia Melo Rivera. He was self employed as a professional photographer. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, fishing, hunting, photography, gardening and watching TV.
Survivors are his wife, Luisa Portes DeCastillo of McDon-ough; children, Lucio Alberto Castillo of Marietta, OH, Francisco Javier Castillo of McDonough, Alma Silvia Castillo of McDonough, Nancy Castillo of McDonough and Romualdo Castillo Jr. of McDonough; 13 grandchildren; siblings Virginia, Gerardo, Tomas, Rosalio, Bonifacio, Benita, Lucia, and Juliana Castillo all of Mexico; numerous nieces and nephews.

C. Allen Shannon
Mr. C. Allen Shannon, age 54, of McDonough, GA passed away January 17, 2013. Allen was born in Augusta, Georgia. Allen was self employed as a commercial diver. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, diving, boating, white water kayaking, mountain rescue and repelling. Allen was known for his caring nature and willingness to help others. He was an exceptional mechanic with a gift for solving any task he was given. He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence H. Shannon.
Survivors are his loving wife, Ellen Ludwick Shannon of McDonough; children, Russell Shannon of Augusta, Rachel Shannon of Hiawassee; stepson, Matthew Hammers of McDonough; Mom and Pop, Barbara and Curtis Wilson of Young Harris; siblings, Douglas Shannon (wife, Nicki) of Augusta, Mary Cecilia Cody of Young Harris; nephew, Brandon Shannon, nieces, Michelle Lemon, Tara Tankersley and Lisa Griffin; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Mr. Allen Parker, age 56 of Jonesboro, Georgia passed away January 19, 2013. He was born in Dothan, Alabama to Kate Fellows Parker and the late Robert Odell Parker. Allen was a member of Bluff Springs Baptist Church in Ashford, Alabama and retired after 24 years with ABF. He was a member of International Brotherhood of Teamsters Union Local 728. Allen enjoyed hunting, fishing, working in the yard, wood crafts and spending time with family and friends. He was a wonderful son, father and husband. He was thoughtful, generous, honest and full of life.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Parker of Jonesboro; mother, Kate Parker of Ashford, AL; daughters, Kimberly (Scott) Starrett of McDonough, Brittnie (Rhett) Butler of Port St. Joe, FL; brother, Wayne (Theresa) Parker of Greenville, SC; grandchildren, Miles, Rilan and Parker Butler, Ansleigh and Annistyn Starrett; niece, Kristin Walters.
