In an effort to preserve some of the history of our community, The Times is displaying photos of Henry County from the past. If you can name the persons or place shown above, write us at editor@henrycountytimes.com and tell us about it. Thanks to Leilani, Bobbie Wingo, and Mike Moon for writing in to tell us that this is the a view of the McDonough Court House from the Square.

Debby Bailey wrote in to correctly identify the photo and said, “I remember sitting on those park benches as a little girl.”

Rick Berry wrote in to tell us that this is the McDonough Court House. He also added, “coincidentally, it can also be seen in last weeks picture of the police shack. It's arched window ornaments make it distinctive.”

Samuel Chipper Gardner wrote in to correctly identify the photo and said, “Hanging out around the Square was a major past time for teenagers in the late 60's and early 70's.”
