County to hold Flashlight Easter Egg Hunt March 22
|
Just in time to welcome spring, the Henry County Parks and Recreation Department will hold its annual Flashlight Easter Egg Hunt at Nash Farm Park on Friday, March 22 starting at 5:30 p.m.
Henry County’s Easter Egg Hunt is a fun-filled event for families and children. This event allows children to hunt for candy-filled Easter eggs in a non-traditional way-- after the sun goes down. Participants will need to bring a flashlight. Festivities include make-and-take coloring crafts, games and more. There will also be bounce houses for the kids and a petting zoo. In addition, Radio Disney AM 590 will be there from 5:30 until 7:30 p.m., offering tons of music and prizes. Egg hunting will begin at 7:00 p.m. for children ages two through five, and the Flashlight Easter Egg Hunt will begin at sundown for ages six through 12, with the Easter Bunny dropping eggs from a helicopter above. Prizes will be awarded for those who find the golden egg. Participants may have pictures taken with the Easter Bunny for $10 and face painting will be available for a fee. Concessions will also be available for purchase. This year’s Flashlight Easter Hunt is being provided through sponsorship by SBZ Services Unlimited, Inc. and People First of Henry County. Nash Farm Park is located at 4361 Jonesboro Road in Hampton. For more information, call 770-288-7300 or visit www.hcprd.org.
