This week The Times took a cruise with McDonough residents (l to r:) Barbara and Joel Rountree and Carol and Jim Kaleialoha. Their group is made up of 6 couples, all retired from Delta Airlines. They try and get together for a cruise once a year. Each year they try to take more people and always have a great time. They stopped in Cozumel and Grand Caymen where Paddy Satter, former McDonough resident, and Joel snorkeled at Eden Rock. Joel says, “The water was warm and the fish abundant.” Next, they went to Montego Bay, Jamaica where they toured and ate local Jerk Chicken, which Joel liked. The local beer in Jamaica is Red Stripe and the local police wear blue slacks with a red stripe. There's a saying in Jamaica “look out for the Red Stripe, if one don't get you, then the other one will.” Want to get your vacation picture in The Henry County Times? It’s simple. Just take us along.
