Girl Scouts earn Letterboxer Badge

Submitted

Girl Scout Cadette Marisa Rockwood recently worked with Brownies and Daisies from Girl Scout Troop 11306 teaching them about letterboxing.   Letterboxing is an outdoor treasure hunt where people look for a weatherproof box that someone has hidden and left clues on how to find. The Brownies earned their Letterboxer Badge and had fun learning how to make their own stamps. They spent the afternoon finding a few letterboxes at Mount Carmel Park and even learned how to hide their own when they are ready.

Pictured at left are, back row l to r: Kamryn Silva, Madeline Arnold, Kayla Aldridge, Cara Bodie, Marisa Rockwood, Reagan Studstill, Layla Huggins, Kayden Silva. Front Row kneeling: Emily Regan, Taylor Eschman and Bailey Polk.                Special photo

Marisa earned her LIA Award and showed leadership skills teaching this project to the younger girls. For more information on letterboxing visit www.letterboxing.org
