Mrs. Gloria Bush Pickle, age 81, of McDonough, GA passed away July 2, 2013. Mrs. Pickle was born in Lake Wales, FL the daughter of the late Charles Paul and Anna Lee Calhoun Bush. She was a devoted member of McDonough First United Methodist Church. Mrs. Pickle worked in real estate most of her working career. She enjoyed spending time with family, friends and antiques. She was preceded in death by siblings, Paul Bush Jr., Frank Bush, Buddy Bush and Anna Lee Young.
Survivors are her loving husband of 61 years, Coleman Pickle of McDonough; daughters and sons-in-law, Jeanie Smith (Randy) and Ann Cook (Bill) both of McDonough and Nena Harris (Andy) of Griffin; grandchildren, Jonathan Smith (Soleil) of Austell, Sophe Pope (Dusty) and Monica Hawkins (Jimmy) both of McDonough; sister, Betty Harper of Hazlehurst; several nieces and nephews.

Darlene Buckner Burks
Ms. Darlene Buckner Burks, age 51, of McDonough, GA passed away July 3, 2013. Darlene was born in Fulton County. Darlene enjoyed spending time with family and friends, being outdoors, gardening, hiking, fishing, animals, cooking, arts and crafts. She was preceded in death by her father, Walter Clifford Buckner.
Survivors are children; Camille Burks of Hampton, Stefanie Rhea Burks of Covington, Nicholas Clyde Burks of Newnan, and Brandon Walter Burks of Hampton; mother, Mrs. Peggy Buckner of McDonough; 3 grandchildren; Chris, Adriana, and Timothy; siblings, Steve Buckner (Sue) of Crossville, TN, Sheila Fleming (John) of McDonough, Phillip Buckner (Jacqueline) of McDonough; several nieces and nephews.

Bennett Franklin Long
Mr. Bennett Franklin Long, age 76, of McDonough, GA passed away July 6, 2013. Mr. Long was born in Baxley, GA the son of the late Randolph and Lourne Reynolds Long. Mr. Long worked most of his working career for Bennett Brothers Trucking Company. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, truck driving, Bingo, watching old western moving and wrestling. He was preceded in death by his son; Kenneth Long; sisters, Jean Carter and Nelter Hartley.
Survivors are his children; Bennett Long Jr. (Wanda) of Jonesboro, Yasmi Long of McDonough, Luis Long of Griffin, Mitzi Long of McDonough and George Long of Fayetteville; 6 grandchildren; sisters, Fay Williamson of Baxley, GA and Pat Haddock of Florida; brother, Hilton Long of Jacksonville, FL; several nieces and nephews.

Genelle Abernathy, age 91, of McDonough, GA died Sunday, July 7, 2013. She was born in Dalla to the late Mervel Haze and Izora Louisa Williams Cantrell.
Genelle is survived by her daughter: Darima (Perry) Westberry, McDonough; grandchildren: Joshua (Allie) Westberry, Ruston, WA; Jacob Westberry, McDonough; great grandchildern: Addison Westberry, Tucker; McKenzie Westberry, Ruston; various nieces and nephews.

Alexa Emma Anthony
Miss. Alexa Emma Anthony, age 23 of Riverdale, Georgia passed away July 9, 2013. She was born in Stockbridge and was the manager of Anthony’s Pizza in Riverdale. Alexa loved her family and life. She never met a stranger, was very bubbly and lit up a room with her countenance. She enjoyed time at the beach and shopping. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Gaynelle Sweatman.
Survivors include her mother, Lisa (Bob Steely) Anthony of McDonough; father, Mike (Cassia) Anthony of Flowery Branch; siblings, Michael Anthony, Nathalia Anthony and Lucas Anthony; grandparents, Jack Burnett, Sr. of Palmetto, Grace and Ferris Anthony of Flowery Branch; uncles and aunts, Jack (Kristin) Burnett, Sheryl Ensworth, Sam Anthony, Julie Sankaran and Cindy Hopkins; cousins, Emily Benschoter, Jennifer Sones, Tina Hubbard, Toni Ensworth, Taylor Roggero, Emma, Claire and Alyce Burnett.

Barbara Ray Crawford
Barbara Ray Crawford, age 74, of Jenkinsburg (formerly of Tucker), died July 9, 2013. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Locust Grove and formerly was a member of the First Baptist Church of Tucker where, for many years, she and the late Morris Westbrook tended to the Bed Babies. Barbara was born in Tucker and was a retired cafeteria worker at Brockett Road Elementary School.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Louis W. Crawford of Jenkinsburg, daughter and son-in-law, Kim and David Little of Abbeville, SC., sons and daughters-in-law, Dr. W. Terry and Pam Crawford of Monroe, Randy and Summer Crawford of Locust Grove, sister, Betty Westbrook of Tucker, grandchildren, Zachary Whaley Little and his fianceé, Katelyn Cooper, Lacy Ray Little, Emily Lane Little, Addie Lee Little, William Cameron Crawford, Madison Laurel Crawford and Molly Ann Crawford.
Services were held July 12 in the Bill Head Funeral Home, Lilburn/Tucker Chapel with Dr. W. Terry Crawford, Rev. Blake Westbrook and Bryan Westbrook officiating. Richard Dwight Holland
Mr. Richard Dwight Holland, age 81 of McDonough, Georgia passed away July 9, 2013. He was born in New York City, NY to the late James Cull and Della May DeVoll Holland. Richard served his country in the United States Coast Guard from 1950-1953 and was of the Methodist faith. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Brandon Holland on February 8, 2004.
Survivors include his sons, Richard (Margie) Holland of Atlanta and Kevin (Regina) Holland of McDonough; four grandchildren.

Ray W. Reeves
Mr. Ray W. Reeves, age 85 of McDonough, Georgia passed away July 10, 2013. He was born in Roswell, Georgia to the late Henry L. and Louella Stephens Reeves. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Donald and Edwin Reeves. Ray served his country in the United States Air Force and was of the Baptist faith. He had worked for Beaudry Ford and Neal Pope Ford for many years. He operated Reeves Tire and Service Center in McDonough. Ray enjoyed gardening, fishing and hunting.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Barbara Burnham Reeves; children, Kenny (Sue) Reeves, Ed (Amanda) Reeves, Patsy (Ernie) Glenn all of McDonough; grandchildren, Keila (Stephen) Teague of McDonough, Karyn (Richard) Fowler of Stockbridge, Kristy (Jason) Kuhne of McDonough, Jason (Irene) Reeves of Locust Grove, Marlina (Jason) Smith of Locust Grove, Steven (Alicia) Cook of McDonough, Corey Sparks of McDonough, Mark Glenn of Kentucky; 13 great grandchildren; sisters, Marjorie Anglin of Roswell and Maxine (Frank) Gunter of Woodstock; nieces and nephews.
