Mid Georgia Model Railroad Club to display in Hampton
The Mid Georgia Model Railroad Club will be setting up a model train display at the Hampton Train Depot on Saturday, August 17 from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Sunday, August 18 from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. This display is brought to you by the City of Hampton through the Main Street program. This is a free event so make sure to come and see the display.

Square Dance Club
The Lads ‘n’ Lassies Square Dance Club will offer 10 weeks of Basic and Mainstream lessons beginning August 3. The cost is $5 per person per class. Classes will be taught by the club’s accredited caller, Bill Jones. The club will host free open house events and demonstration dances on Saturday, August 3, from 6 to 7:45 p.m. at their new location in St. Joseph’s Episcopal Church, 1865 GA. Hwy. 20 in McDonough. Upward Soccer
Wesley Way United Methodist Church is now registering for fall Upward Soccer. This program is for ages 4th - 6th grade for both boys and girls. League fees are $89 and include uniforms. Henry County High School Class Reunion
The Henry County High Class of 1973 is planning their 40th reunion to be held Saturday, August 31, from 7-11 p.m. at Pilgreen’s at Lake Dow in McDonough. For more information contact Henley Varner at 678-549-5159 or hvarner15@aol.com.

Free Genealogy Workshops
Three free genealogy workshops will be offered by Sara Jane Overstreet, of the Andrew McBride Chapter DAR and the Genealogical Society of Henry and Clayton Counties, Inc. Classes will be 10:30 a.m. until noon on September 21, and November 16. Laptop/iPad encouraged but not required. GWRRA have 15th HeroDay
Gold Wing Road Riders Association, Chapter A, McDonough, will have their 15th “HeroDay” on Saturday, August 10 at 12 p.m. at Steers Steakhouse in McDonough. The motorcycle chapter has adopted soldiers via www.HeroBox.org, an organization that helps support our troops by customizing care packages to soldiers serving our country. Constitution Party Leadership Class
The Constitution Party of Georgia will be sponsoring a ‘train the trainer leadership” class one day only on the Institute on the Constitution. This very important seminar will be open to the public Saturday, August 3 from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. at Liberty Baptist Church. The church is located at 1410 Valley Hill Road in Stockbridge. Crossroads Career Network
Crossroads Career Network will meet at Stockbridge First UMC on Monday, August 19 at 7 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall (lower level at rear of building). Guest Speaker: Dr. Angelyn Hayes, Assistant Vice-President for Student Affairs, Clayton State University. The Topic will be: Etiquette and Ethics in the Job Search: Little Things Mean a Lot.
