William Joseph McManama

  Mr. William Joseph McManama, age 51 of McDonough, Georgia passed away August 8, 2013. He was born January 20, 1962 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Joseph Harry and Patricia Hafner McManama. William served his country in the United States Navy and was employed in swimming pool construction. He enjoyed NASCAR, football, baseball and fishing. He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert McManama.

  Survivors include his son, Robbie McManama; parents, Joe and Pat McManama; brother, Tom McManama; his maternal grandmother; mother of his son, Erica Lugsdin; nieces, nephews and friends.

Blanton H. Knight

  Mr. Blanton H. Knight, age 91 of McDonough, Georgia passed away August 10, 2013. He was born in Snellville, Georgia to the late Pleamon and Essie Nash Knight. Blanton served his country in the United States Army during WWII. He retired after 31 years with the United States Postal Service and was a member of Salem Baptist Church. He helped organize the Lions Club, was past president of the Moose Lodge, where he was a lifetime member and was instrumental in the building of the Henry County High School Gymnasium. Blanton was a car enthusiast, given the moniker, “Rambler Knight”, for fixing up old Rambler autos and selling them for extra income. He enjoyed the Atlanta Braves and had traveled to all 50 states with his wife. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Louise Waguespack and his brother, Harold Knight.

  Survivors include his wife of 71 years, Louise Crumbley Knight of McDonough; children, Pam (Charles B.) Reagan of Molena, Bill (Vickie) Knight of Vandalia, OH, Bob (Christy) Knight of McDonough, Ken Knight of McDonough; son-in-law, Fred (Pat) Waguespack of McDonough; grandchildren, Steven, Bradley and Jeffrey Mathias, Jackie Moye, Christie Samojedny, Barron Reagan, Gabe and Greg Knight, Kyle Knight, Kelli Sullivan and Randee Knight; great grandchildren, Chelsea, Morgan and Brandi Mathias, Matthew and Olivia Moye, Willow, Sage, Eddie and Hannah Knight, Nolan and Graham Sullivan and Addie Todd; half sister, Betty Stoltz of Byrom; sister-in-law, Janelle Knight of Birmingham, AL.

  Services were held August 13 from the Chapel of Haisten Funeral Home. Rev. Rick Statham, Rev. Dan McKay and Rev. James Miller officiated. Interment Haisten/Eastlawn Memorial Park. Joyce Webb Howard

  Joyce Webb Howard, age 76, of McDonough, GA, died August 11, 2013.  She was born to the late Albert Webb and Essie Webb, on July 22, 1937, in Atlanta, GA.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Howard, her son, Russell Howard, her grandson, Robert Howard and her granddaughter, Ashleigh Hodge.

  Mrs. Howard is survived by her son, David (Renee) Howard, McDonough; daughter, Melissa (Robert) Hodge, McDonough; and her grandchildren, Olivia (Adam) Gray, Forest Park, Terry Howard, Conley, Justin Hodge and Andrew Howard, both of McDonough.
