Ford to run for
Stockbridge City Council

From staff reports

Anthony S. Ford announced his candidacy for Stockbridge City Council last week on Aug. 8 in front of supporters at his residence. During his announcement, the retired veteran and president of the Monarch Village HOA cited his community involvement and 30 years of management, operational and logistical experience gained from serving in the U.S. Army, where he reached the rank of Colonel.

Ford has served as the president of the Dutchtown High School Council for two years, and he is also a committee member in the Economics and Education Alliance, Stockbridge Community Block Grant Review Committee and Sign Ordinance Review Committee.

“I chose my home to announce my candidacy to the community to emphasize the openness that is required while serving the citizens with transparency” said Ford. “Hopefully this will further assist in bringing more community involvement in our city's business when I am elected to city council.”

For more information about Ford and his campaign, visit his recently launched website at fordforcity council.com. The site includes Ford’s plans if elected, voting information, event dates and more.
