Christine Fisher Roseberry

  Christine Fisher Roseberry, age 100 of Stockbridge, GA died August 11, 2013. Mrs. Roseberry was born August 1, 1913 in Stockbridge, the daughter of Howard Henry Fisher, Sr. and Winnie Walls Fisher. She was a homemaker and member of the Hemphill Memorial Presbyterian Church in Stockbridge, GA. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years Raymond Roseberry and grandson Kenny Roseberry.

  She is survived by her two daughters: Addie Mae Wilkinson of Manchester and Brenda Jackson of LaGrange; three sons: Calvin (Bodean) Roseberry of Hobe Sound, FL , John (Pat) Roseberry of Zebulon and Charles (Beverly) Roseberry of Stockbridge; a brother: Howard (Virginia) Fisher of Hiawassee; six grandchildren: Ricky Wilkin-son and Ronnie Wilkinson of Woodbury; Cal Roseberry Miami, FL; Angie Massengale of Zebulon; Christy Lightholder of LaGrange  and Monica Rose-berry of Smyrna; eight great-grandchildren: Daniel Wilkinson of Milledgeville; Lilly Roseberry, Peyton Roseberry both of Miami, FL;  J. P. Massengale of Zebulon;  Nathan Lightholder, Michaela Lightholder, Lena Lightholder all of LaGrange and Ava Roseberry of Smyrna.

  Services were held August 14 at the Hemphill Memorial Presbyterian Church, in Stockbridge. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hemphill Memorial Presbyterian Church, Stock- bridge, GA. James Christopher Henderson

  Mr. James Christopher Henderson, age 43, of Locust Grove, GA passed away August 12, 2013.  Chris was born in Clarksville, TN.  He worked as a branch manager for Lowe Electric Company in Warner Robins. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, swimming, yard work, trains, cars, and NASCAR. 

  Survivors are his wife, Charlene Henderson of Locust Grove; children, Katlyn Henderson of McDonough and Dylan Hender-son of Locust Grove; father and stepmother, Jim and Debby Henderson of Destin, FL; mother, Susan Pirkle of Macon; sisters, Sara Elrod (Drew) of Milledgeville, Julie Coletti of Destin, FL, Jill Vasquez (Myers) of Virginia Beach; grandparents, Loice Sanders of Guthrie, KY, Frances Henderson of Elkton, KY and Catherine Adams of Hickory, NC; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Esteese Bryan Shearouse

  Mrs. Esteese Bryan Shearouse, age 92, died August 16, 2013.  She was the daughter of the late Richard H. and Lucy Hook Bryan. Mrs. Shearouse was a native of Savannah, attended public schools and worked for Central of Georgia Railroad and as a Clerk for US Federal Probation Office. Mrs. Shearouse was a lifelong member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Savannah and was attending Locust Grove First Baptist Church with her family.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh R. Shearouse Sr. 

  Survivors are her son, H. Rodney Shearouse Jr., and wife Betty; daughter, Sherry S. Moon and husband Larry of Locust Grove.  She had five grandsons, James and Amy Evans, of Mansfield, TX, Sam Shearouse of Barnesville, Cliff and Sandi Shearouse, Ben and Anna Shearouse of Locust Grove, and Gil and Kristi Shearouse of Douglasville; 16 great grandchildren. 

  Services were held August 19 at Bonaventure Cemetery in Savannah with Rev. Enoch Hendry officiating. Judy Garland Cain

  Judy Garland Cain, age 69, of McDonough, GA died August 18, 2013. She was born in Opp, AL to the late Garland B.and Brunetta Bowden Wyatt. Judy was a member of McDonough Church of Christ.  She was a retired Math educator with 30 years of service with Troy City Schools.

  Judy is survived by her husband:  Lavon Cain, McDonough; children: Keron (Fabio) Gwaltney, Barron (Randa) Cain; grandchildren:  Clay Gwaltney, Jonathan Gwaltney, Katie Gwaltney, Ethan Cain, Evan Cain, Ellie Cain; 3 brothers, and 3 sisters.

  Memorial Services were held August 21 at the Chapel of Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors with Minister J.J. Turner officiating. Frank James Knight

  Mr. Frank James Knight, age 86 of Locust Grove, Georgia died August 18, 2013.  He was born in Cadiz, Kentucky to the late Clarence David and Essie Bea Sowell Knight. Frank served his country in the United States Army and retired after 21 years with the Army of Engineers Depot.  He then operated Frank’s Auto Repair for 30 years and enjoyed flying model airplanes, fishing and hunting. He was preceded in death by a son, James Frederick Knight, sister, Anna Pittman and by brothers, Cornelius and Hardin Knight.

  Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Shirley Bruno Knight of Locust Grove; children, Dennis R. Knight of Jackson, David W. Knight of Locust Grove, Edward K. Knight of Jackson, Theresa J. (Jeffery) Weems, Richard A. Knight, Michael E. (Holly I.) Knight, Lisa Ann (Alvin W.) McGuire all of Locust Grove, Charles S. (fiancée, Jennifer Graham) Knight of Hampton; daughter-in-law, Brenda (Jim) Thomas of Stockbridge; 23 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

Janet Diane Carter Bearden

  Janet Diane Carter Bearden of Linden, Tennessee, formerly of  McDonough, died July 23, 2013. Janet is the daughter of the late J.C. and Billie Carter.

  She is survived by husband Tim Bearden of Linden; son Carter (Kace) Bearden of Murfreesboro, TN; daughter Jenni (Richard) Thorn of Jackson, TN; grandchildren Tyler and Jackson Bearden and Diane and Marjorie Thorn; brother Jimmy (Kathy) Carter, of McDonough.

  Memorial services were held in Linden, TN and Demorest. Contributions may be made to the Janet Bearden Memorial, TN Baptist Conference Center, P.O. Box 728, Brentwood, TN 37024
