  First Christian Church Stockbridge has their Children’s Harvest Festival Thursday, Oct. 31, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the gym. Free candy, food, games, and a cakewalk. Call 770-474-2285 for more info. The church is located at 102 Valley Hill Road in Stockbridge.


 Glen Haven Baptist Church welcomes the community to hear Sr. Pastor Stan Berrong on Sunday, Sept. 1, in the 8:15, 9:45, and 11 a.m. worship services. There will not be an evening service nor Sunday evening activities. The monthly Public Servants Breakfast will be Wednesday, Sept. 4, at 7:30 a.m. in the gymnasium.  The midweek service will be that evening at 6:45 p.m. Grief Share class begins Sept. 8 at 4 p.m. in room 301B.   Grace Summit Church has two small group classes scheduled to begin Aug. 21. Beth Moore’s “The Inheritance,” and  John Bevere’s “Honors Re-ward.” Both start at 7 p.m. and will be held at the church. DivorceCare is a 13-week seminar and support group for people experiencing separation or divorce, held in room No. 102 on Wednesday night at 7 p.m. GriefShare is a special weekly seminar and support group on Wednesday night at 7 p.m. in room No. 305. Souled Out Youth meets in the Multi-Purpose Room at 7 p.m. on Wednesday. Sunday New Creation class is held Sunday at 9 a.m. and meets in room No. 102.   Henry Baptist Church will present a 13-week spiritually based class for those who have lost a loved one.  This class is free and open to the public. The class is currently meeting on Sundays from 3 to 5 p.m. Topics include:  living with grief, the effects of grief, loss of a child, what is heaven like, journey of grief, loss of a spouse, and suicide.   Grace Baptist Church will be having their homecoming service on Sept. 8. Services begin at 10:30 a.m. in the auditorium. Following the service they will enjoy a great time of fellowship around the table with dinner and friends. After the dinner, they will return to the auditorium and enjoy more singing.   St. Joseph’s Episcopal Church will host the first day of Sunday School classes Sunday, August 25 from 9:30 until 10:15 a.m. in the student’s respective classes. They have Sunday services at 8:30 and 10:30 a.m. with nursery and child care available.  Their Wednesday evening healing service is at 6:30 p.m. All who are baptized are welcome to receive.   One Heart Community Church has their after school program Monday through Friday from 1 until 7 p.m. Contact Associate Pastor Chris Greaver at 678-283-3017 for more information. Registration and sponsor forms are now available for the upcoming Missions Ministry Walk scheduled for Sept. 7. Also, they will be celebrating grandparents Day on Sept. 8.
