  McDonough First Assembly of God will begin Revival on Sunday, Sept. 15 at the 10:45 a.m. morning worship time. There will be another services Sunday evening beginning at 6 p.m. and then Monday, Sept. 16 through Wednesday, Sept. at 7 p.m. nightly.   Mount Carmel UMC will have their annual BBQ and Yard Sale on Saturday, Sept. 28 from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. For more info contact the office at 404-761-0694. The church is located at 1933 Mount Carmel Rd. in Hampton.

 

  St Joseph’s  Episcopal Church’s new Rector will be Father Scott Harding. He is the Rector of The Church of the Messiah in Glens Falls, NY where he has served since 2004. Father Scott is anxious to begin his ministry at the church, however, because of prior commitments as well as his love for his current congregation, his first Sunday worshiping with us will be Oct. 20. The official installation by the Bishop will not come for several months after that. Sunday services are at 8:30 and 10:30 am with nursery and child care available. They have a Wednesday evening healing service at 6:30 p.m. All who are baptized are welcome to receive. The church is located at 1865 Hwy. 20 East in McDonough.   First Christian Church Stockbridge has their Children’s Harvest Festival Thursday, Oct. 31, from 6  to 8 p.m. in the gym. Free candy, food, games, and a cake walk. Call 770-474-2285 for more info. The church is located at 102 Valley Hill Road in Stockbridge.

 

   Henry Baptist Church will present a 13-week spiritually based class for those who have lost a loved one.  This class is free and open to the public. The class is currently meeting on Sundays from 3 to 5 p.m. Topics include:  living with grief, the effects of grief, loss of a child, what is heaven like, journey of grief, loss of a spouse, and suicide.   Grace Baptist Church will be having their homecoming service on Sept. 8. Services begin at 10:30 a.m. in the auditorium. Following the service they will enjoy a great time of fellowship around the table with dinner and friends. After the dinner, they will return to the auditorium and enjoy more singing.   One Heart Community Church has their after school program Monday through Friday from 1 until 7 p.m. Contact Associate Pastor Chris Greaver at 678-283-3017 for more information. Registration and sponsor forms are now available for the upcoming Missions Ministry Walk scheduled for Sept. 7. Also, they will be celebrating grandparents Day on Sept. 8.  Glen Haven Baptist Church welcomes the community to hear Sr. Pastor Stan Berrong on Sunday, Sept. 8, in the 8:15, 9:45, and 11 a.m. worship services for One Nation Under God to celebrate America. The monthly Public Servants Breakfast will be Wednesday, Sept. 4, at 7:30 a.m. in the gymnasium.
