Jewel Victoria Askew Bonnell
Mrs. Jewel Victoria Askew Bonnell, age 91, of McDonough, GA passed away September 15, 2013. Mrs. Bonnell was born in Stockbridge the daughter of the late Roy and Ruby Hinton Askew. Mrs. Bonnell enjoyed life, spending time with family and friends, traveling, the beach, mountains, gardening, cooking, shopping, the Gatlinburg lights and Christmas was her favorite time of the year. She was a member of Stockbridge United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by husbands, Bob Eskew and Richard Irving Bonnell; son, Jerry Eskew and all ten of her siblings.
Survivors are her children; Rinda McCabe (Mickey) of McDonough, Barbara Aycock (Danny) of Winston, and Judith Minton (Michael) of Gatlinburg; seven grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews.

Becky Hydrick, 63 of Hampton died September 15, 2013. Becky was born in Atlanta, GA. In 2012, after retiring, she bought a beautiful home in Hampton where she was living at the time of her death. She was preceded in death by her younger brother Terry Wallace and her beloved mother Patricia Wallace.
Becky is survived by two children (and spouses): Jason Hydrick (Michelle), Kellie Hydrick (Alex Lashley), and four grandchildren: Maliachi Lashley, Lissy, Bradley Hydrick, and Santera Johnson: One great grandchild Zion Mangham. Becky is also survived by her older sister Sarah Conwell and older brother Richard Wallace.

Doris Brooks Melvin
Mrs. Doris “Dottie” Brooks Melvin passed away September 17, 2013 in Palm Harbor, Florida. She will be dearly remembered by her family and friends.
A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, September 28 in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home. Marian “Pat” Cropper, age 53, of Stockbridge, GA died September 18, 2013. She was born in Rochester, PA to the late John Nall and Wanda Pauline Gallagher Bayes.
Pat is survived by her husband: Michael Cropper, Stockbridge; children: Rachael, Melani, Devin, Susan, Robert, Brian; siblings: Pamela Murray, Jesup; Jay Bayes, CA; Penny Popik, Ambridge, PA; Joel Bayes, Dallas, TX; grandchildren: Isabel and Sean.

Patricia Tapley, age 86, of McDonough, GA died September 18, 2013. She was born in Kansas City, MO to the late Roland Troup and Mary Louise Hackerd Edington. She was a member of St. James The Apostle Catholic Church.
Patricia is survived by her children: Margaret Ann (Scott) McLaughlin, Marietta; Mary E. (Charles) Harper, McDonough; Cathy (Jeff) Nolan, Jacksonville, FL; Jimmy Tapley, Jacksonville, FL; sibling: Mary Lou Ryan, Moultrie; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Kayla Marie Godfrey
Kayla Marie Godfrey, age 20, of Hampton, GA passed away September 19, 2013. Kayla was born in East Point, Georgia. She enjoyed being around friends and family, music, lights and the beach. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Doris Godfrey and an aunt, Anita Godfrey.
Kayla is the loving daughter of Debra and Wendell Chaffin of Hampton; grandfather, Richard Godfrey of Orange, TX, and grandparents, Thurmond and Hazel Chaffin of McDonough; uncles, Richard and Ann Godfrey of Orange, TX, Jahugh and Debbie Chaffin and W. J. and Laurie Chaffin of GA; aunts, Lisa and John Richricko of Virginia, Carrie Chaffin, LeeAnne and Mike Little of GA; and several loving cousins.

Andrew Sanders Floyd
Mr. Andrew Sanders “Red” Floyd, age 93, of Hampton, Georgia passed away September 23, 2013. Mr. Floyd was born in Henry County the son of the late Willie Clarence and Minnie Ellen Conkle Floyd. Mr. Floyd served his country in the US Army, worked for Southern States in Hampton for 38 years, was a member of Liberty Hill Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon then was elected as a Deacon Emeritus. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and when his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren came around a special spark was seen in his eyes. He was known for being a simple man that enjoyed farming, hunting, fishing and reading. He was preceded in death by siblings, Mary Floyd Carter and Willie Grady Floyd.
Survivors are his loving wife of 64 years, Dorothy Jean Payne Floyd of Hampton; children, Sara Ellen (Wayne) Head, Timothy Floyd, Michael (Melainie) Floyd, Jean (Pete) Fransen, Robin (Todd) Trent, Nancy (Rob) DewBerry, Linda Roy, Sarah (Joe) Mejias all of Hampton; 22 grandchildren, and 32 great grandchildren.

Mrs. Patricia Sweat, age 87 of McDonough, GA passed away September 23, 2013. Mrs. Sweat was born in Orlando, FL the daughter of the late Joseph Daniels and Eva Mercer Daniels. Mrs. Sweat was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who enjoyed spending time in her yard and with her devoted pet Oliver. She lived a full exciting life, painting, gardening, crocheting and singing in the church choir. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Robert Crawford Nutt and George William Sweat Sr. and a daughter, Barbara Caneup.
Survivors are her children; Frances Hillman (Al) of Richmond, VA and Kathy Jones (Randy) of Senoia, GA; grandchildren, Randy Slattery (Brandy) of Griffin, Jaime Hillman of Farmville, VA, Ashley Aschauer (Ryan) of Dunwoody; great grandchildren, Dewayne Slattery, Alexis Slattery, Kayla Slattery, Tristan Slattery and Ava Aschauer.
