American Legion holds ceremony

 American Legion Post 55 in McDonough held a dedication ceremony on Saturday, November 9 for the installation of a U.S. Army Howitzer.

Pictured above, l. to r., Judge James Chafin, Post Chaplain Jerry Goodson who gave the invocation and Abbey Poole of Strong Rock Christian School who sang the National Anthem.

  Post Senior Vice Commander Judge James T. Chafin gave the history and timeline of the acquisition of this cannon, which is on loan from the U. S. Army.
