  Glen Haven Baptist Church welcomes the community to services on Sunday, December 8 in the 8:15, 9:45, and 11 a.m. Awana Clubs will not meet the month of December and will resume January 12.  In the evening service at 6 p.m. the children’s choir will present “The Night Shift Before Christmas.” The midweek service is on Wednesday, December 11 at 6:45 p.m. The Glen Haven Celebration Choir will present “The Light of Christmas” on December 14 and 15 at 6 p.m. For more information visit www.glenhavenbaptist.com  or call 678-432-5138.   Wesley Chapel UMC will have  a workshop on the Affordable Healthcare Act Saturday, Dec. 7 from noon until 1 p.m. An ACA Health navigator will offer an overview of options. They will present Christmas Around the World with skits, dance, narration and singing on Dec. 14, at 6 p.m. There will be a United Methodist Student Day worship service on Dec. 15. Sunday services are held at 8 and 11 a.m. Midday Bible Study is each Wednesday with several other bible studies held throughout the week.

 

  Henry Baptist Church will have their annual Christmas event, Worship the Wonder, on December 13 from 6 until 9 p.m. Everyone is welcome. There will be pony rides, hay rides, inflatables, a play area for kids, food, a jazz band, lights, a children’s Christmas musical, and even a snow slope. (weather permitting.   St. Joseph’s Episcopal Church invites the community to their service of Lessons and Carols which traces the fall of humanity, the promise of the Messiah, and the birth of Christ in the form of nine lessons from the Bible accompanied by Christmas Carols. It will be held December 8 at 6 p.m. at the church, located at 1865 Hwy. 20 E. in McDonough.

 

  The Ole Country Church invites the community to their annual Christmas Concert on Dec. 8 at 6 p.m. featuring The Diplomats, Aaron Wilburn, and Wes Beasley. There is no cover charge, but a love offering will be taken. The church is located at 2649 Hwy. 155 North in McDonough. 

 

  Mount Zion United Methodist Church will have their annual Christmas Cantata during the morning worship service at 11 a.m. Sunday, December 15. The Cantata, “Bethlehem Morning” will be directed by Mike Wallace, choir director.  Alice Wallace will be the pianist. The church is located at 984 Panola Road in Ellenwood.

 

  Bethel UMC will have Breakfast With Santa on December 7 from 10 until 11 a.m. Come visit with Santa and have your picture taken in the Children’s Room in their Chapel at Bethel UMC. The visit is free and photo packages are available for $25 and make great Christmas gifts.   Turning Point Church will have their first annual Toys for Tots event on December 7 from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. They are seeking to make a difference in the community through this outreach. Each year, the United States Marine Corps Toys for Tots program makes it possible for children from low income families to receive new toys during the holiday season.   Redeemed Biker Church invites all bikers and non-bikers to come hang out on Thursday nights at 6:30 p.m. for a free meal and church service. The church is located at 500 Industrial Blvd. in McDonough. Call 770-595-7237 for info.
