DAR Good Citizens
receive awards

The Andrew McBride Chapter NSDAR recognized their Good Citizens from schools in Henry County at their meeting in January. The Good Citizens from each senior class are selected for their qualities of good citizenship in their homes, schools and communities. The DAR Good Citizens program and Scholarship is intended to encourage and reward the qualities of good citizenship and to recognize and reward male or female high school seniors who exemplify the qualities of a good citizen:  dependability, service, leadership and patriotism. The essay part of the award was won by David Johnson from Henry County High School. His essay has been sent to the District Level competition. The winner will move on the  state level.
