  Mount Zion UMC will have “A Souper Bowl of Caring” lunch after the morning worship service on Sunday, February 2. Food and cash will be donated to Joseph’s Pantry.  They will also hold their 25th Annual “Love Light” service at 5 p.m. on Sunday, February 9. Names of the “Honored Living” will be read, and candles will be lighted for “Those We Remember.” Money from this service will be used by the choir for music ministry. The community is invited to attend the service at 984 Panola Road in Ellenwood.

 

  Heritage Baptist Church invites the community to worship with them each Sunday. Sunday School is at 10 a.m.; Sunday morning service is at 11 a.m.; Sunday evening service is at 6 p.m. and Wednesday service is at 7 p.m. Nursery is provided for all services.   Locust Grove United Methodist Church invites the community to worship on  Sunday mornings. At 8:45  a.m. they have a casual traditional service. A sausage and biscuit breakfast is from 9:30 to 10 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall. At the 11 a.m. service enjoy a mix of hymns and praise songs led by their worship choir and praise band. Sunday School, bible studies, youth and children activities are available. The church is located at 211 Peeksville Road in Locust Grove. They are online at  www.locustgroveumc.com.

 

  Henry Baptist Church offers  DivorceCare, a 13-week, recovery support group for those who have experienced separation or divorce. The next 13-week session will begin Monday, February 3 at 6:30 p.m.  DivorceCare For Kids (DC4K) for children of divorced or separated parents is also offered. DC4K is for children ages 5-12, and runs simultaneously with the DivorceCare sessions. The cost is $15 for a workbook. For more information, or to register, contact the church office at 770-914-1191.    Wesley Chapel UMC invites the community on Saturday, February 1 at 10 a.m. as the Higher Education Team will host their second Student Success Workshop. Also on February 1 at 9 a.m. come and chat with the Pastor. Limited spaces are available so call 770-957-4728 to reserve today. During the month of February, the History and Archives Ministry will present Black History Moments. They encourage the wearing of African attire during the first three Sundays in February.   Community Bible Study every Thursday night from 7 until 8 p.m. Classes will be taught by Rev. Bill Blackmon at the LaQuinta Inns and Suites Conference Center, located at 4832 Bill Gardner Parkway in Locust Grove. For more information call 770-873-0124.

 

  One Heart Community Church will have Senior Craft Day on January 25 at 10 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall. For more info call the church at 678-289-0087. The church is located at 40 Mays Road in Stockbridge.

 

  First Baptist Church of Stockbridge invites the community to worship with them every Sunday. Sunday school is at 9:30 a.m.; morning worship is at 10:45 a.m. Nursery and Children’s Church is available.  Sunday evening service is at 6 p.m. Their Wednesday night program for children starts at 6:15 p.m. and includes activities for 3 year olds through 5th graders. It will feature music, GA’s for girls and RA’s for boys. Their youth program on Wednesday is at 6:30 p.m. and the adult Prayer Service is at 6:30 p.m.

 

  Glen Haven Baptist Church invites the community on Sunday, February 2 in the 8:15, 9:45, and 11 a.m. services. Awana clubs will not meet, and no evening service.
