There will be an Academy of Comedy Improv show at the
Stockbridge Community Arts Center Saturday, April 12 at 8 p.m.
As a special offer audience members who wear a proper kilt to
the event get in for only $5. The name of the show is ‘Licensed
to Kilt’. The Academy of Comedy Improv is the only professional
improvisation troupe based in Henry County. The Improv group
includes Brian Phillips, Kiera Robbins, Paige Steadman and

Henry Baptist Church has Griefshare each Sunday from 3 until 5 p.m. It is a special weekly seminar and support group for people who are grieving the death of someone close to them. Their Griefshare seminars and support groups are led by people who understand what you are going through and want to help. Handbell Choir Concert
A Joyful Ring Handbell Choir at McDonough Presbyterian Church invites the community to their Spring Concert on Sunday, May 4 at 5 p.m. in the Sanctuary. Joining the Handbell Choir will be the Chancel Choir and the Men’s Chorus, as well as guest artists. Come see the variety of techniques used to make music with handbells. It promises to be an evening of enjoyable vocal and instrumental music. The church is located at 427 McGarity Road in McDonough.
Spring Sacred Music Concert
St. James The Apostle Catholic Church Music Ministry is now in rehearsal for their Spring Sacred Music Concert. They will perform the Haydn Missa Brevis in B Flat Major (The Little Organ Mass) as well as five selections from the Easter portion of Handel’s Messiah. Rehearsals are Thursdays from 7 until 9 p.m. This event is open to anyone who loves to sing. Music and rehearsal cd’s will be furnished. They will be accompanied by a string quartet. The concert date is May 10. The church is located at 1000 GA Highway 155 N. in McDonough.

Feed the Children Campaign
On Saturday, April 12, Tabernacle of Praise will join forces with the national Feed the Children Campaign Initiative. They are asking the community to help by sponsoring a Feed the Children truck. A gift of $25 will be stretched to provide 5x’s the food and other essential items to 400 families in the Henry County area. This community initiative will also partner to aid families from several local community organizations. Locust Grove Easter Egg Hunt
The annual Locust Grove Easter Egg Hunt will be held Saturday April 12 from 10 until 11:30 a.m. at the Locust Grove City, 3644 Highway 42 in Locust Grove. The Easter Bunny will be there and it will feature a bonnet contest, prize eggs and candy. Come have fun with the Easter Bunny on the front lawn of City Hall. Ages 2 to 6th Grade will hunt in various locations around City Hall.
Host Families needed for Foreign Exchange StudentsHost families are needed to host foreign exchange students who will attend local high schools. Students come for one school year only.
