  The Ole Country Church invites the community to their next singing on Sunday, August 17 featuring The Kingsmen. There is no cover charge, a love offering will be taken. Singing will begin at 6 p.m. The church is located at 2649 Hwy. 155 North in McDonough.


  One Heart Community Church invites the community to attend Friends and Family Weekend  August 21 - 24. On Friday, August 21 the Movie Under the Stars begins at 9 p.m. On Sunday, August 24 services will be held at 8:30 and 11 a.m. A BBQ will be held after the 11 a.m. service. Road Riders For Jesus ride to the Dillard House for lunch on Saturday, August 23.   Henry Baptist Church will be holding a new series on Wednesdays at 6:45 p.m. beginning August 20 and continuing for 24 weeks. This series is designed to help men understand their masculine identity and show them how to make the pursuit of authentic manhood a lifelong priority. There is no cost to attend. A nursery is available for newborns - 2 yrs. AWANA programs are available for children 3yrs-6th grade, and SUMMIT is available for 6th-12th grades on these nights.   Heritage Baptist Church will have their annual Back to School Revival on Friday, August 8 at 7 p.m. and is for ages 13 and up.  Brother Tony Hutson will be the speaker this year.         Locust Grove United Methodist Church invites the community to worship with them.   St. James Preschool in McDonough is now enrolling for the 2014-2015 school year. Their school offers preschool for children from 2 to 4 years old.
