Benefit ride for Breast Cancer Survivors’ Network

  Liberty Hill Baptist Church F.A.I.T.H. Riders will host Miles for Hope, an escorted ride to benefit The Breast Cancer Survivors’ Network, on Saturday, October 4. All funds raised stay in Georgia. The ride starts at Bellamy Strickland Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, 145 Industrial Blvd., McDonough and ends in Warm Springs.  Peer 2 Peer NAMI Class

  The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) is holding a Peer 2 Peer free 10-week Education Class on the topic of Mental Health Recovery at Jodeco Road United Methodist Church. Participants must have a diagnosis. The classes are held every Thursday from 7 until 9 p.m. Refreshments will be served. The church is located at 1500 Jodeco Road in Stockbridge. Second Division Association Reunion

  The Second (Indianhead) Division Association is searching for anyone who served in the Army’s 2nd Infantry Division at any time. Griefshare

  Henry Baptist Church has Griefshare each Sunday from 3 until 5 p.m. It is a special weekly seminar and support group for people who are grieving the death of someone close to them.  Their griefshare seminars and support groups are led by people who understand what you are going through and want to help.  You will gain access to valuable griefshare resources to help you recover from your loss and look forward to rebuilding your life.  The church is located at 4035 Jodeco Road, McDonough, GA 30253.

 

Stockbridge High Multi-Year Reunion

  The Stockbridge High School multi-year reunion for classes 1966 through 1982 will be held October 18 at the Atlanta Airport Marriott Hotel in College Park. The price is $70 per person until September 1. The cost is $80 cash at door. For more info call Keith Craddock at 678-618-1607.

 

An Evening with Richie McDonald

  The community is invited to An Evening with Richie McDonald (Lead singer of Lonestar) on Tuesday, September 9 at 7 p.m. at the Henry County Performing Arts Center. Special Guest is Madelyn Patterson, top 48 contestant on American Idol 2014. Toastmasters meeting
