Edgar Milton Foster
Mr. Edgar Milton Foster, age 84 of Hampton, Georgia passed away January
23, 2010. Ed was born in Los Angeles, CA to the late John and Louise
Foster. He was preceded in death by a son Keith Foster and a sister,
Clarice Hanson. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean
War. Ed was a graduate of UC Berkley and retired after 30 years with
AT&T. He was a member of the Hampton First United Methodist Church and
enjoyed his ham radio and his classic 1952 MG.
Survivors include his children, Jay (Moira) Foster of Los Angeles, Joy
(Steve) Litton of Atlantic Beach, FL, Kristen (Kirby) Dampier of
Hampton; grandchildren, James Foster and Lauren Foster both of New
Jersey, Jennifer Foster of Los Angeles, Jacob Barnwell of Atlantic
Beach, FL and Emma Dampier of Hampton; daughter-in-law, Roberta Smedile
of Long Valley, NJ.

John Everett Davis
John Everett Davis, 69, of McDonough, Georgia, beloved husband, father,
and grandfather, passed away on Sunday, January 24, 2010.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly Jo, of 47 years; sons, John T.
Davis, Todd V. Davis, and the late Robert D. Brock; six grandchildren,
Rebecca J. Brock, Jerry B. Brock, Abigail V. Davis, Ethan M. Davis,
Laura A. Davis, and Olivia L. Welch; and two great-grandchildren,
Tre’Vius L. Laster and Atticus X. Brock.
The memorial service was held on January 28 at Cannon-Cleveland Funeral
Home in McDonough. Burial was held at Westview Cemetery in Atlanta.

Mr. John Randall Buice
Mr. John Randall Buice, age 62, of McDonough, Georgia passed away
January 27, 2010. Mr. Buice was born in Fulton County. He was a loving
husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with family
and friends. He enjoyed playing the guitar, fishing, baseball, softball,
The Braves, wood working and ceramics. He served his country in the US
Army. Mr. Buice was preceded in death by his father, John Quincy Buice
in 1997 and a son, Jonathan Buice in 2009.
Survivors are his wife of 40 plus years, Connie Buice of McDonough;
children, Brian Buice of McDonough, Josh and Christy Buice of
Stockbridge; daughter-in-law, Amber Buice of McDonough; grandchildren,
Briauna Buice and Faith Buice of McDonough; mother, Lona Buice of
Riverdale; sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn and Bobby Hemmings of
Riverdale; nephew, Mark and wife Crystal Hemmings of McDonough; great
niece Lindsey Hemmings of McDonough.

Janet Marie Agregaard
Mrs. Janet Marie Agregaard Miller, age 47 of Jonesboro, Georgia passed
away January 27, 2010. Janet was born in Gulfport, Mississippi to Muriel
Eileen Snyder Agregaard and the late Byron James Agregaard. She was
preceded in death by a brother, Gary Agregaard. Janet graduated from
Mercer University and had been employed with Georgia Power for ten
years. She was a member of Eagles Landing First Baptist Church, where
she assisted in the Deaf Ministry; the Citizen’s of Georgia Power, where
she was the Assistant Treasurer of the CCC Chapter; and was the Road
Captain for Wings in the Wind Motorcycle Ministry Stockbridge Chapter.
Janet worked with Children’s Charities while at Atlanta Motor Speedway,
which led to the beginning of A Friend’s House. She enjoyed motorcycles,
sailing, swimming, traveling, mentoring and spending time in her
vegetable garden.
Survivors include her husband of 27 years, Mark Miller of Jonesboro;
sons, Gary (KayCee) Miller of Ft. Worth, Texas and Chad (Jennifer)
Miller of Petersburg, Virginia; mother, Muriel Agregaard of Gulfport,
Mississippi; siblings, Paul (Debra) Agregaard of Missouri, Gail (Butch)
Horning and Doug (Sharon) Agregaard all of Gulfport, Mississippi, Ginny
(Wayne) Sholar of Kentucky.

Janice Lee Bentley Frazier
Mrs. Janice Lee Bentley Frazier, age 72, of Locust Grove, Georgia passed
away January 28, 2010. Mrs. Frazier was born in Seco, Kentucky the
daughter of the late Frances Lee Ricketts and James Bentley. She was a
devoted homemaker who enjoyed being with her family, yard sales,
antiques, internet, and was a pet lover. She was preceded in death by
her husband, Norris Keith Frazier (Sonny), and several siblings.
Survivors are her children, Jeff and Diane Tingle of Locust Grove, Ricky
and Dawn Frazier of Culleoka, Tennessee, Debbie and Steve Carroll of
Grayson, Tim and Terri Frazier of Atlanta and Janice Frazier of Locust
Grove; grandchildren, Brandy Jackson, Ashley Carroll, Brian Frazier and
April Paul; great grandchildren, Callie Jackson and Georgia Frazier;
sisters, nieces and nephews.

Shepherd Roy Moss
Mr. Shepherd Roy Moss, age 76 of McDonough, Georgia passed away January
28, 2010. He was born in Parkersburg, West Virginia to the late Roy
Shepherd and Zell Dorene Hawkins Moss. He served his country in the
United States Navy and was a member of the McDonough Church of Christ.
While working for Eastern Airlines, he decided to go into business for
himself and opened Moss Typewriter Repair. He was an accomplished author
of the book, “Jay’s Magic Bomber;” was a movie buff and a people person.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Betty Jean Moss; daughters and
sons in law, Vicki (Ron) Norris of McDonough, Kimberly (Jerry) Stallings
of McDonough and Robyn Cox of New Orleans; also five grandsons, Joshua,
Marc and David Till, Brandon and Ryan Stallings and a granddaughter,
Natasha Cox of New Orleans; siblings, Paul (Delores) Moss, Ned (Sylvia)
Moss and June (Henry) Templett all of Houston, Texas.

Barbara J. Trotter
Mrs. Barbara J. Trotter, age 74, of Jonesboro, Georgia passed away
January 28, 2010. Mrs. Trotter was born in Fulton County the daughter of
the late Willena Whatley. She was a member of First Christian Church of
Jonesboro. She enjoyed gardening, swimming, fishing, cooking and
reading. Her husband, James Floyd Trotter, preceded her in death.
Survivors are her children, Michael Trotter of Jonesboro, Barry P.
Trotter and wife Yvette of Stockbridge, Tony Trotter and wife Pat of
Jonesboro; grandchildren, Missy, Harley and Carmen Trotter; great
grandchildren, Laurel, Iris and Birch; and several siblings, nieces and
nephews.

Ada Christine Thompson Holder
Mrs. Ada Christine Thompson Holder, “Granny”, age 84, of Locust Grove,
Georgia passed away January 29, 2010. Mrs. Holder was born in McDonough,
the daughter of the late Gladys Trella Austin and George Rowland
Thompson. Granny Holder was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church
where she served in all areas of the church. She enjoyed being with
family and friends, gospel music, singing, sports, cows and cats. Granny
Holder never met a stranger, she enjoyed being with people. Her husband,
Thomas Odell Holder; son, Perry Holder; great grandson, Steven Blake
Dyar; siblings, Jesse Capps, Bessie Lane, Joe Thompson, Richard
Thompson, Lawrence Thompson, Buddy Thompson and Jim Thompson preceded
her in death.
Survivors are her children; Gladys and Johnny Kuhn, Tommy and Emily
Holder, Nan and Steve Kuhn, Polly and Jim Downey, Jamie and Janet
Holder, Danny and Donna Holder; 17 grandchildren, 38 great
grandchildren, and 10 great-great grandchildren; sisters, Belle Brown
and Lena Mae Skelton.

Jack B. Elkins
Jack B. Elkins, age 75 of Hampton, Georgia passed away February 1, 2010.
He was born in Locust Grove to the late Dan and Ada Elkins. Mr. Elkins
retired in 1990 from the Department of the Army as a Civilian Employee.
He had served since 1998 as the President of Henry County Farm Bureau.
He was appointed this year to serve on the Metropolitan North Georgia
Water District Governing Board. He had volunteered for numerous
positions and worked tirelessly for the betterment of agriculture for
Henry County and the State of Georgia. He was a 32nd degree Scottish
Rite Mason and a member of Forest Park Lodge #399 F. & A.M. He was
preceded in death by brothers, Lamar, Richard and D.H. Elkins.
He was survived by his loving wife, Dianne Mitchell Elkins; brother,
John Robert (Dee) Elkins; daughters, Lea (Jeremiah) Turner, Lynn Pittard,
Shannon (John) Mallard; sons, Michael (Nancy) Yates and James W.
Vickery; ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted February 4 at 11 a.m. from the Chapel
of Haisten Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Locust Grove Cemetery.

Stephen Pace Harrison
Stephen Pace Harrison of McDonough, Georgia passed away on Monday,
February 1, 2010. He was born in Atlanta. He was a University of Georgia
and Woodrow Wilson School of Law graduate. He practiced law in McDonough
for over 32 years.
He is survived by his wife Jeanie, son Jesse (Jeanette) and daughter
Sarah (Troy). He is also survived by his sister, Jocelyn and brothers,
Greg, Tony, Jeff, Mike, Eric, and Meredith and many nephews and nieces.
Visitation for family and friends will be held at St. Joseph’s Episcopal
Church on Highway 20 in McDonough on February 4 from 5 until 7 pm. A
private service will be held for family only. In lieu of flowers please
