Caleb Patrick Semple

  Caleb Patrick Semple, age 12, of Stockbridge, GA died August 24, 2010.  He was born in Orlando, FL on April 10, 1998.  

  Caleb is survived by his parents, James Eno and Paula Denise Kiely Semple; siblings, Kyle, Brandon, Adam, and Jamie Semple; and grandparents, Jerry and Kathryn Keily.

Robin Lynn Self

  Robin Lynn Self, age 40, of McDonough, GA died August 24, 2010.  She was born on August 28, 1969 in Atlanta, GA. Mrs. Self worked for the State of Georgia in the human resources division.

  Mrs. Self is survived by her husband, James Self and children, Austin and Sydney Self, all of McDonough, GA; parents, Earl Dale and Brenda Ruth Cosby Watson, Locust Grove, GA; siblings, Dale Watson, Butts County, GA and Stephanie Herrin, Warner Robbins, GA.

  Memorial services were held August 27 at The Chapel of Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors. Gladys Lucille Smith

  Gladys Lucille Smith, age 91, of McDonough, GA died August 24, 2010. She was born in Fayetteville to the late Charlie Buchannan and Winnie Cargile Callaway. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband, William Albert Smith; son, Paul David Smith; daughter, Sharon Henderson; 5 brothers, and 2 sisters. 

  Mrs. Smith is survived by her sons, Donald W. Smith, Ronald (Charlotte) Smith; 5 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; brother, James (Alice) Callaway; sister, Mary (Ralph) Rafferty; daughter-in-law, Charlotte Schemmel Smith; and many nieces and nephews.

  Funeral services were held on August 28 at The Chapel of Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors with Pastor Rick Whitlock officiating. Ruby Owens

  Ruby Owens, age 93, of Stockbridge, GA died August 24, 2010.  She was born in Aragon, GA to the late Luther and Pearl Thompson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Freeman Owens. 

  Mrs. Owens is survived by her sons, Jimmy Owens and Billy Owens; daughter, Vicki Miller; 9 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and two sisters.

William Joseph Cawley

  William Joseph Cawley, known as Bill by those who loved him, age 55, passed away August 26. Born in Hancock County, he is the son of George Jackson Cawley and the late Barbara Saunders Cawley. Bill was a loving and devoted husband and father. A traditional Southern man, he loved spending time with his family, hunting and fishing. He was a member of Luella Baptist Church in Locust Grove.

  He is survived by his wife, Kris, two children, India and David, his two brothers, Jackie and Andy, and his sister, Libby.

  The viewing was held at the family’s home on August 28. Funeral services were held on August 29 at Luella Baptist Church in Locust Grove after which a graveside ceremony will take place at Pinehill Methodist Church in Warthen, GA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the William J. Cawley Tuition Scholarship Fund and can be mailed to John Hancock Academy, P.O. Drawer E, Sparta, GA, 31087. Robert Warner Callen

  Mr. Robert Warner Callen, age 86, of McDonough, GA died August 27, 2010.  He was born in Millerstown, PA to the late Edward Maple and Emma Allenberg Callen. Mr. Callen served our country in the Army during WWII. He worked for Allegheny Ludlum Steel Company for 44 years. 

  Mr. Callen is survived by his brother, Edward Callen, Natrona Heights, PA; and niece, Leone (William Love, McDonough , GA.

Lillian Reva Parker

  Lillian Reva Parker, age 99, of Stockbridge, GA died August 28, 2010. She was born in Atlanta, GA to the late Peter C. and Nellie R. (Arnold) Wilson. Mrs. Parker was a graduate of the Georgia Baptist School of Nursing.  She served over 40 years as a private duty nurse at Georgia Baptist Hospital.   

  Mrs. Parker is survived by her daughters; Reva Lansberry, Maples Fl., Linda Bethel, Roanoke, VA, Anne Cross, Bremen, Betty Pate, Stockbridge. Mrs. Parker was blessed with a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Louetta Dease Branan

  Mrs. Louetta Dease Branan, age 89 of McDonough passed away August 28, 2010.  She was born in Rex, Georgia to the late Alton Alfred and Mattie Lou Snead Dease. Louetta was a member of Salem Baptist Church and was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing, cooking and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Augustus Henry Branan, Jr.

  Survivors include her children, Henrietta (Doyle) Hyder, Jerry (Lynda Gayle) Branan, Alice Louann (Glenn) McCutchen all of McDonough; grandchildren, Danny, Chuck, Todd and Kam Steele, Ashley Tracy, Crystal Steers, Karla Smith and Kim Morone; 23 great grandchildren. 

  Funeral services will be conducted September 1 at 11 a.m. from the Chapel of Haisten Funeral Home.  Rev. Dan McKay will officiate.  Interment Salem Baptist Church Cemetery. Contributions are asked to be made to Salem Baptist Church Building Fund in memory of Mrs. Branan. Harriet Marie Meyer

  Mrs. Harriet Marie Meyer, age 84, of Union City, formerly of Hampton, GA passed away on August 29, 2010.  Mrs. Meyer was born in Hayleville, AL the daughter of the late Delmus Daniel and Hattie Lorene Dees Freeman.   Marie enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and shopping. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sammie H. Meyer Sr.

  Survivors are her children, Sam and Bonnie Meyer of Newnan and Dan Meyer of Warner Robins; brothers, Jim Lucas of Jonesboro and Tommy Lucas of Altamonte Springs, FL; grandchildren, Brian and Ellis Meyer and Danielle Meyer Gordy; great grandchildren, Jaiden, Marisa, Haley Meyer and Rylee Gordy; several nieces and nephews.
