The Times traveled recently with Tony and Gloria Barrett of Locust Grove on an 8 day Viking River Cruise, on the Rhone River in France to celebrate their 50th Anniversary. They flew from Atlanta to Paris changed planes to Marseille, France, to board the Viking Delling River Boat.  From Marseille they stopped at Avignon, Arles, Viviers, Tournon, Vienne, and ended at Lyon, France. At each port they had a guided shore excursion, riding and walking around each town learning the history. They were at Vienne, when France won the World Cup. “It was very interesting to see how the French people celebrated the win, cars driving by the ship, people hanging out the windows waving the French Flag, running through the streets shouting and shaking cars,” said Tony. Thanks for taking the Times on your trip!
