A paint recycling event will be held this Saturday, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Jason T. Harper Event Center, 95 Lake Dow Road in McDonough. Only brand new cans of paint or stain will be accepted, either opened or unopened. Items must be in the original can and unmixed.

Unlabeled cans will not be accepted. The following fees apply for latex paint: 5 gallon bucket $10; 2 gallon bucket $4; 1 gallon can $2; 1 quart can .75 cents; 1 pint can .25 cents; any size spray can $1. Used motor oil will be accepted for the following fees: 5 gallon bucket $15; 1 gallon can $3, 1 quart can $1; 1 pint can .40 cents. Cash and checks will be accepted. Residents must show ID’s.
