Lunch services continue at county senior centers

Comments Off on Lunch services continue at county senior centers

Although Henry County’s four Senior Centers remain closed because of coronavirus concerns, meals continue to be served at Heritage, Hidden Valley and Bear Creek Senior Centers, ensuring that senior center clients have access to nutritious, filling meals.

Clients who currently receive Meals on Wheels and in-home services are continuing to receive them, however no new clients are being added at this time. For seniors who come to the senior centers that are listed above for meals, those meals continue being served in an innovative drive-up service. Clients who are already registered with Senior Services will be permitted to purchase a meal in a drive-thru line, Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

There is a limit of one meal per client using the drive-thru service to ensure that all seniors who take part, receive them. Senior Services is not able to provide meals for extended family members.
