The Veteran Enforcers Motorcycle Association (VEMA) will be hosting its 3rd Annual “Fallen Heroes Ride” on Saturday, July 11 to raise money for the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund (IFHF).

Registration will take place on Saturday, July 11 from 10 to 11:15 a.m. at the Heritage Park Veterans Museum, located at 101 Lake Dow Road in McDonough.

Kickstands up will be at 11:30 a.m.

The ride is approximately 46 miles which will begin in McDonough and end in Grayson, Ga at the Friends American Grill.

The cost is $20 for the rider and $10 for a passenger. Following the ride will be food, prizes and a 50/50 raffle.

“We would like to extend an invitation to all the local police officers, firefighters, and veterans who ride motorcycles to come out for community involvement and to support this important and meaningful cause,” said Chris Adair, a member of VEMA.

VEMA is a national association made up of military veterans and first responders that ride to raise money for various charities and causes related to veterans and first responders.

“[The Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund] helps our troops who have post-traumatic stress (PTS) and traumatic brain injuries (TBIs).  We donate 100% of our raised money to this fund,” said Adair.

The Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund (IFHF) builds critically-needed centers for treating military personnel suffering the effects of Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and Post-Traumatic Stress (PTS). These injuries have severely impacted the lives of hundreds of thousands of men and women who have served selflessly in defense of our nation.

To help address this need, IFHF is building a series of ten specially-designed treatment facilities, called Intrepid Spirit Centers, on military bases across the nation. These centers act as Gymnasiums for the Brain, providing service members with the most advanced care available to address the complex symptoms of TBI and PTS.

Seven Intrepid Spirit Centers are open and serving America’s brave men and women in uniform and the eighth center is currently underway.

More than 90% of patients treated in the centers are able to continue on Active Duty.

The money raised from this ride will help raise money for the next Intrepid Spirit Center.
