  Richard Capo, age 56, of McDonough, Ga., went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 9, 2020.

Terrell Patrick

  Terrell (Terry) Patrick, age 62,  passed away quietly at his home on Monday, June 15, 2020. Terry was born on April 24, 1958, in Griffin, Ga., to James Lee Patrick and Peggy Embrey Patrick. He grew up in McDonough, Ga., and later moved to Tampa, Fla., where he retired from Moffitt Cancer Research Center with 34 years of service. He is preceded in death by his father, James Patrick, and granddaughter, Lily Grimes.

  Terry is survived by his daughter Amber (David) Grimes, mother Peggy Patrick and brother Tony Patrick and grandchildren Xavier, Carlie, David Jr., Sarenity and Shanay.

  The memorial services were held on Friday, June 19, 2020 at 3 p.m. at Gonzalez Funeral Home, Tampa with a gathering of family and friends.

Ruth L. Butler

  Ruth L. Butler, age 99, passed away on June 16, 2020.

  Ms. Shirley Annette Ransom, age 84, of Stockbridge, Ga., peacefully entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, June 17, 2020.

Michael Walter Surma

  Michael Walter Surma, age 69, of Fayetteville, Ga., passed away on June 27, 2020. Michael was truly an educator at heart and a people person. He began his career as a teacher and later as the School Superintendent of the Laboratory Schools of Illinois State University. He was also a teacher, administrator, and School Superintendent at the Henry County School System in Georgia. After retiring from the Henry County School System in 2010, Michael served as the Legislative Liaison for Georgia School Superintendents Association. Michael enjoyed fishing, boating, golfing, and hanging out at the beaches of Manasota Key, Fla., for part of the year. He had a passion for cooking and serving elegantly prepared dishes for friends and family.

  Michael is survived by his wife of 48 years, Marygrace. Other survivors include his sister, Patricia Warrer (Richard); brother, David Surma; nieces, Jessica Gieger (John) and Marissa Britton (Sky); and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Sabina Surma; and sister-in-law, Kathy Surma.
