The Willie B. Hatcher American Legion Post 516 hosted a parade around the McDonough Square on Saturday, September 12 celebrating their 4th consecutive year of being named Post of the Year. Following the parade, an award ceremony was held at Post 516.

The Willie B. Hatcher American Legion Post 516 has been instrumental in the local community in meeting the needs of area veterans and their families, to include repairing and refurbishing homes and fundraising for relief efforts. “The City of McDonough owes much gratitude to the members of American Legion Post 516, who constantly work to better our community without asking for any praise or recognition,” said McDonough Mayor Billy Copeland.
