Comments Off on Henry Police offering class for teens

On Thursday, October 29 from 6 until 8 p.m. the Henry County Police Department will hold a Citizen/Police Encounters class to encourage safe interactions between police officers and Henry County residents. The program will take place at the HCPD Training Room, 108 S. Zack Hinton Parkway in McDonough. The program focuses on teenagers (age 13 and up) who have had little to no interaction with police officers. It also encourages parents to have healthy conversations with their children about police encounters. The class will consist of positive dialogue from both the instructor and the citizens, a power point presentation, and training scenarios involving real life police/citizen encounters.

Attendees are required to complete an application and sign a waiver form to participate in the program.
