Charles Nelson Miller

  Charles Nelson Miller, age 78, of McDonough, passed away Thursday, February 4, 2021. He was born in Concord, N.C., to the late Nelson Henry Miller and Mary Helen Miller.

  Mr. Miller is survived by his wife of 58 years, Charlcey K. Miller; children, Kelley (Scott) Dorsey, Jenny (Scott) McElroy, and Jeffery Charles (Carolyn) Miller; grandchildren, Garrett, Tanner, and Courtney Dorsey, Ally McElroy, and David Payton; sister, June Miller (Tom) Land; niece, Julie (Marc) Lyons; nephew, Patrick (Kate) Land; great nieces, Mary Mac, Elizabeth, and Alden; and great nephew, Angus.

  Ricky Gene Brown

  Ricky Gene Brown, age 63, of Locust Grove, Ga., passed away suddenly at his home on February 8, 2021. Ricky was a very generous man. He loved his Family fiercely and they always came first in his heart. He loved his GA Bulldogs and never missed a football game, be it college or NFL. He loved to watch all sports. He was very passionate about his music and art. He always had music going no matter the situation. He loved to draw. He was preceded in death by his parents Hugh David, and Martha Jean (Bowers) Brown–both lived in Jonesboro, Ga. at the time of their deaths–and his sister Wanda Gail Beaver of Locust Grove.

  He is survived by his loving wife Evelyn-Carol (Nielsen) Brown of Locust Grove, two children, Alan Brown of Locust Grove, and Adrianne Williams (Jason Williams) and two wonderful grandchildren, Dalton Williams and Alexis Williams of Locust Grove. Brothers Wayne Brown of Savannah, Ga., Greg Brown of Conyers, Ga., and sister Tammie (Brown) Kirby of Phenix City, Ala. He also has many nieces and nephews that he loved dearly. 

  A memorial service will be held on February 27, 2021 at 3 p.m.  at New Vision Church, 479 Inman Road, Fayetteville, GA 30215. He did not have any life insurance, so in lieu of flowers they are asking that you donate to his Go Fund Me account to help pay for his final arrangements, and to help his family in the coming months.
