Thomas Anthony Owen
Thomas Anthony Owen, age 67, passed away unexpectedly on March 8, 2021 at his home in McDonough, Ga. He was born in Atlanta, Ga., to Thomas and Patricia Owen. He worked for Flying Tigers Airline for many years, then went on to work as a HVAC technician. His interests included woodworking, music, and cooking. He was an avid fan of the Georgia Bulldogs.
Mr. Owen is survived by his devoted wife of 27 years, Janice Owen; one sister; one daughter; one stepdaughter and son-in-law; and grandchildren. He was of Christian faith and now rests peacefully in the arms of his Lord and Savior.

Steve Smith
Mr. Steve Smith, age 62, of Newborn, Ga., died March 8, 2021 at his home. Mr. Smith was a native of Atlanta. He was married to Terri Adams. He was a diesel mechanic by trade by also enjoyed collecting and restoring classic cars. Mr. Smith enjoyed hunting and gardening and always had free advice for his family and friends. He was preceded in death by a brother, Roger and a sister, Linda.
Steve Smith is survived by his wife, Terrie and children, Keith Smith and Julie, Jeremy Smith and Michelle and Joey Smith. His grandchildren are Luke, Miranda, Olivia, Andrew, Shawn, Clayton and Anna. Mr. Smith is also survived by siblings, Mike, Dondra, Karen, David, Lisa, Leslie, Greg and Jason.
The family received friends on Thursday, March 11, 2021 at 1 p.m. at A.E. Carter Funeral Home. The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. in the chapel. Interment followed at the Buckhead Cemetery.

Carol Cade Wall
Carol “Kay” Cade Wall, age 72, of McDonough, Ga., passed away March 8, 2021.

Norman Paul Wittler
Norman Paul Wittler, age 77, of McDonough, Ga., passed away on Thursday March 11, 2021. His memory and spirit will dwell in and be cherished by his children, Samantha Deutsch, Ron Willard, Don Willard and Leslie Willard and their loving family circle. He is smiling down on us, glad to see his parents Ruth and Arthur Wittler again, plus visiting with Jesus. He was a computer guru, worked at the Henry Herald, and loved his church, Mt. Bethel United Methodist.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Beverly Rooks Wittler, sister Patty Cole (Jimmy), brother David (Tina) and sister Susan King (James) and their dears.
A homegoing celebration was held at Mt. Bethel on Saturday, March 13, 2021 with pastor Claire Yoder presiding. She shared some warm memories from the family and led them through some wonderful prayers and scripture.

Edward Hasty
Edward “Earl” Hasty, age 78, of Locust Grove, Ga., passed away March 11, 2021.

Bobby Ray Howard, age 78, passed away on March 12, 2021.
