The Flint River Astronomy Club will be holding public outreach programs this month, weather permitting.

The first will be held on Friday, August 13 at Lake Horton Park from 8 until 10 p.m. The park is located at 1275 Antioch Road in Fayetteville.

The second program will be held on Saturday, August 28 at Sprewell Bluff Park from 8:30 until 10:30 p.m. The park is located at 700 Sprewell Bluff Road in Thomaston.

The community is invited to come out to see the moon, planets, stars, and whatever else may be in the sky that night. If you have a telescope or binoculars feel free to bring them with you.

Please bring a mask with you to the programs. Because of the ongoing pandemic and to protect everyone attending, they will require anyone viewing through a telescope to wear a mask.
