In an effort to preserve some of the history of our community, The Times is displaying photos of Henry County from the past. If you can tell us anything about the photo shown above, use this form. In the next edition, we’ll reveal the details of the picture and notes readers send to us.

This is a photo of members of Sharon Baptist Church at the time of McDonough’s Sesquicentennial celebration in 1971. They are (front) Jason Jeffares, (center, L to R) Rick Jeffares, Chuck Sims, Wesley Hollingsworth, Billy Vandiver, (back, L to R) Allen Vandiver and Wayne Sims. Laura Richardson wrote, “This photo made me smile. This was Henry County’s sesquicentennial. My dad, George Hart, Jr. was the mayor of Stockbridge at the time. The cute little one in the front is my little brother, Barry Hart. Our entire family and community dressed up for the occasion in period dress. What a fun memory! Thanks for sharing.”
