Henry County government officials announced the recent addition of the Piedmont OBGYN Physicians Group to the Nidus Medical Campus in Fairview. While the new medical office building is being completed on that site, Piedmont OBGYN will reside temporarily in the Fairview Urgent Care building and begin serving patients.

The announcement is part of what county officials said is Commissioners Bruce Holmes’ commitment to make “health and wellness a priority for the Fairview area to ensure excellent healthcare and opportunities abound for all citizens.” Holmes has worked for several years to initiate infrastructure and beautification projects and improvements to attract high-quality healthcare development and other businesses to the area, according to a statement released by the county.

The expanding campus is also expected to serve residents from north Clayton, south DeKalb and west Rockdale County communities.

“Our commitment to health and wellness continues in north Henry County,” said Holmes. “Piedmont Healthcare is fulfilling another need in the huge healthcare gap that has existed in this community for many years by placing a much-needed OB-GYN group in our community. Now women in north Henry, north Clayton, south DeKalb and west Rockdale counties don’t have to travel far to receive excellent specialty care. I want to offer another huge thanks to Piedmont Healthcare and their commitment to providing quality care to our citizens.”
