Strong Rock Christian School is proud to announce Myron Jackson as their new Head Varsity Football Coach. Prior to Strong Rock, Coach Jackson coached collegiately for twelve years at Southern University, North Carolina A&T State University, Western Carolina University, and the University of Connecticut. During his collegiate tenure, he mentored multiple individual players who went on to play in the NFL along with many All-Conference & All-American performers. He has eight years of High School coaching experience, three years as Head Coach at Okeechobee High School (FL), and most recently serving the last five years as the Defensive Coordinator for Strong Rock, while also serving as Assistant Head Coach the last two.

Jackson played football for Florida State University under the legendary Coach Bobby Bowden. During his time in Tallahassee, he earned both his Undergraduate & Master’s degrees, while becoming a 4-year letter winner. He earned All Atlantic Coast Conference honors as a Tight End at the end of his senior season. The Seminoles were the winningest team of the decade, never finishing outside of the top five. While under the direction of Coach Bowden, Coach Jackson learned about toughness, competition, commitment, and the mental fortitude that it takes to be successful. Myron uses those same qualities to teach and motivate his players today to be the best they can be.

Myron has been married for nineteen years to his wife, Sherley, and they have three daughters, all currently attending Strong Rock.
