Alvin Robert Hobby
Alvin Robert Hobby, age 92, of McDonough, Ga., passed away on Tuesday, February 22, 2022. He was born in Crossland, Ga., on February 2, 1930 to the late Clarence and Rene Hobby. Alvin loved to work on cars and he enjoyed fishing and camping in the mountains. He liked to build things with wood and he also played the guitar. Mr. Hobby retired from General Motors and attended McDonough Assembly of God. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Brenda Strickland, seven sisters, four brothers and his wife Elizabeth Hobby.
He is survived by his children, Patricia Clotfelter of McDonough, Ga., Robert (Marilee) Hobby of Jackson, Ga., Roger (Terri) Burdette of McDonough, Ga., Wayne (Nancy) Burdette of Greensboro, Ga. and June Sette of Stockbridge, Ga. Also, one sister, Betty Hall of Newnan, Ga., thirteen grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
