Early voting is here for Henry Countians ready to participate in the general primary and nonpartisan general elections.
Voters can cast their ballots beginning May 2 at any of four locations: the county’s main elections office, 40 Atlanta Street in McDonough; Merle Manders Conference Center, 111 Davis Road in Stockbridge; Fortson Library, 61 McDonough Street in Hampton; and Locust Grove Library, 115 MLK Jr. Blvd. in Locust Grove.

Polls at all four sites will be open 7 a.m.-7 p.m. weekdays until May 20. Saturday voting at all four locations is scheduled for 9 a.m.-5 p.m. May 7 and 14. Sunday voting is only available May 15 from 1-5 p.m.

Two additional polling locations will be open the final week of early voting, May 16-20, from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.: JP Moseley Park, 1041 Millers Mill Road in Stockbridge; and Fairview Recreation Center, 35 Austin Road in Stockbridge.

Local races include three seats on the Henry County Board of Commissioners and two on the Henry County Board of Education as well as multiple judicial posts, state legislative and congressional seats.

Early voters can cast their ballots at any of these locations regardless of where they live in the county. Voters who wait until May 24, the actual election day, will have to vote at their respective precincts.
