Ola High School Senior Ethan Ledford has committed and signed with Truett McConnell University in Cleveland, Georgia to be a part of their Shotgun Team. Ledford, an avid trap shooter, began shooting competition shotgun at age 11 with the Henry County 4-H shooting team under Coach Frank Hancock.

At age 15, Ledford began shooting registered targets with the Amateur Trapshooting Association earning scores of championships, titles and awards from across the nation. In 2021, Ledford was selected as a National Ambassador for 4-H Shooting Sports and in 2022, he was named to the Amateur Trapshooting Association All-American Team, being one of the top 25 Junior shooters in the nation. Further, Ledford was named as Captain of the 2022 Georgia State Trapshooting Team.

“After being recruited nationwide, all of Ethan’s hard work has now earned him a college student athlete scholarship and he is proud to become a member of the TMU Shotgun Team,” said Ethan’s father, Andrew.
