A guilty plea regarding the molestation of two girls has resulted in a life sentence in prison for a Henry County man.

Carlos Albert Merazlizcano, 42, entered a guilty plea December 6 to one count of aggravated child molestation, five counts of child molestation, two counts of incest, and one count of statutory rape. He was sentenced to life in prison plus 30 years. He also must register as a sex offender and have no contact with the victims.

Merazlizcano confessed to police that he molested the two girls in his Hampton home, as well as previously when living in Texas.

Merazlizcano started touching one of the children’s private parts when she was age 10, as well as masturbating in front of her while making her watch pornography. He also had sex with the second child multiple times from age 14 -17, as well as forced her to perform oral sex on him.

“This man tormented these children for years,” said District Attorney Darius Pattillo. “The family is grateful to have him behind bars and not have him harm any more families.”

The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Kayla Kudratt and the Crimes Against Children/Domestic Violence Unit.
