Wilbur Selma Johnson
Mr. Wilbur Selma Johnson, age 87, formerly of Jonesboro, Ga., resided in Forest Park, Ga., for 55 years until moving to Cumming, Ga., where he peacefully went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 20, 2022. He was born on November 22, 1935 in Morrow, Georgia to the late Selma Jefferson Johnson and Mary Davis Johnson. Mr. Johnson served in the United States Air Force from October of 1955 until his honorable discharge in September of 1959. During his service he received the Good Conduct Medal and served 26 months overseas. He was married to the love of his life, Doris (Dottie), for 53 years. Together God blessed them with three children, which enriched his love for his family. Time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, was one of his favorite things about life. He was a collector of eagle figurines and had quite the collection of coins. He really enjoyed family meals together, gospel music, old westerns, and told the time of day by watching the Price Is Right. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by the love of his life, Doris (Dottie) Spain Johnson.
Left to carry on the legacy of the Johnson family are his sons, Kevin (Melissa) Johnson and D. Clarke (Kayce) Johnson; his daughter, Alecia (Donovan) Maloney; grandchildren, Tyler (Lauren) Johnson, Spencer Johnson, Emily Provau, Danielle (Justin) Brown, Coan Johnson, Olivia Maloney, Jackson Maloney; great-grandson, Hunter Johnson; great-granddaughter, Lynleigh Brown; a sister, Helen Louise Cleveland; a brother, James Floyd Johnson; as well as several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Funeral services to honor Mr. Johnson’s life were held on Friday, December 30, 2022 at Henry Baptist Church, McDonough, GA. A good friend, Rev. Archie Norman, officiated the service. Nancy Lee Fogle, age 85, of Stockbridge, Ga., passed away on December 27, 2022. She was born in Terre Haute, Ind., on April 10, 1937, the daughter of the late Robert E. Damer and Osa Violet Stevens. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Empson Henry Fogle.
She is survived by her son, Bradley (Denise) Fogle; daughters, Randi (Jeff) Poe and Robin (Bill) Linkous; grandson, Branden Buschman; granddaughter, Jessica Rogers; two great-grandchildren, Madison Rogers and Aeirth Rogers; extended family members; Virginia Trusler & family, and Diana and Al Turner, and as well as several other extended family members and friends.

Vicki Gasses Farah, age 80, of McDonough, Ga., passed away December 27, 2022. She was born in McDonough, Ga., to the late Jessie Gasses, Sr. and Mary Flaghan Gasses. Vicki was a parishioner of St. James the Apostle Catholic Church. She was a waitress for many years at Arnold’s, Ryans and Southern Cooking. Vicki enjoyed walking, shopping, bowling, playing Bingo, cooking and baking, especially her famous pound cakes. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Thomas Anthony Farah and by siblings, Sarah Hill, Rita Gasses Peeples, Georgia Whittington, Shirley Horton, Maxine Farah, Victor Gasses and Tommy Gasses.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Vince and Rhonda Farah; grandchildren, Gina and Joseph Dumas and Jacob and Elita Farah; great grandchildren, Evan, Levi, Peyton and Elijah; brothers, Raymond (Marlene) Gasses and Jesse Gasses.
