Stockbridge Councilman Elton Alexander will host his MLK Jr. Community Service Project on this Saturday, January 14, 2023 at 10 am to 12 pm at Hudson Bridge Road at I-75 in Stockbridge, Georgia. Attendees should park at the Walmart located at 1400 Hudson Road. This service project is in affiliation with Councilman Alexander’s Keep Stockbridge Beautiful Initiative. Participants should be prepared to beautify the area. Comfortable clothing and closed shoes are highly encouraged for the beautification event. All community members and civic groups are welcomed to participate with the public initiative hosted by Councilman Elton Alexander.

“Make it a day on and not a day off by improving our community on Hudson Bridge Road,” said Stockbridge Councilman Elton Alexander. “Let’s clean up and beautify a primary gateway into our great city. Dr. King proclaimed that everyone can be great, because everybody can serve. You only need a heart full of grace and soul generated by love and we certainly love our community!  Positively impacting the appearance of our city is a great community service initiative in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Rev. Martin Luther King Sr. The father of the great civil rights leader was born and raised in Stockbridge.”

Attendance for the initiative is free. Youth groups are encouraged to attend. Children must be accompanied by supervising adults at all times for Saturday’s initiative. For additional information, please contact Rosalynd Rawls at 678-833-3348 or rrawls@cityofstockbridge-ga.gov.
