Michael Wayne Davis, commonly known as Mike, age 64, of McDonough, Ga., peacefully departed this world on Thursday, June 15, 2023 in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his family.

Norma Jeanette Pierce
Norma Jeanette Pierce, of McDonough, Ga., passed away on June 15, 2023 at Brightmoor Hospice in Griffin. She was born in Matthews, N.C. to the late Johnson William Duncan and Sadie Elizabeth Hinton Duncan. Norma began her career as a switchboard operator and retired as a personnel manager for AT&T. She loved spending time and traveling with her family and friends. She was an avid bridge player, gardener and the best homemade soup cook that ever walked this planet! Norma loved to entertain and often threw low country boil parties and loved grilling out. In Norma’s free time, she enjoyed working as a volunteer in the Henry Medical Center. She was a long-time member of McDonough Presbyterian Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Arthur Duncan, Walter Duncan, Elton Duncan and Elma Branch.

Mrs. Pierce is survived by her husband of 69 years, Joe Pierce; children, Steve (Teresa) Pierce of Griffin, Ga., and Lesa (Joe) Cunningham of Greeneville, Tenn.; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; siblings, Reba Alexander of Charlotte, N.C., Bobby Bookout of Charlotte, N.C., Glenn Duncan of Enid, Okla., and Jerry Duncan of Ninety Six, S.C. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Harry Maines
Harry Maines passed away peacefully at his home Monday evening, losing his long fought battle with cancer. Harry Maines was well known in Spalding County for his dedicated service as a County firefighter. He will greatly be missed.
Harry is survived by a wife, ex- wife Marlene Maines, daughter Amanda (Erika) Kerce, Anessa (Rob) Espana-Reid, grandchildren Josiah, Katie, and Haylie, brothers Roy and Franklin (Amanda) Maines, and sister Lynn (Robbie) Roberson and a host of many nieces and nephews.
