Glenda Carter has brought her son’s much-loved stories about his dad’s military travels to life in a children’s book, “Bobby Lee, My Dad, My Hero.” The book tells a story from the viewpoint of a child in a military family and how he uses his imagination to cope with his father’s deployment. Bobby Lee shares his imagined adventures with his father when he calls home. Carter was a military spouse for 35 years. She and her two children cherished their reading time together during her husband’s many assignments within the United States and Europe. Carter attended writing courses at Emory University and Kennesaw State University and has been published in HomeLife Magazine. Carter currently resides in McDonough with her husband Robert.
