The MBA 51 11u (Mendez Baseball Academy) out of McDonough, traveled to Gulf Shores, Alabama June 6th- 9th for the 2023 Perfect Game Gulf Coast World Series (Week 2). There they battled teams from all over the southeast. After competing in pool play and coming out 2-2, they battled back and won their division, coming out Champions.

MBA 51 11u is coached by Head Coach and founder, David Mendez, currently residing in Ola. He was originally drafted by the Atlanta Braves in 1996 as a free agent out of Panama City, Panama. He played with the Braves as a minor league Pitcher, until 2003.

The MBA 51 11u out of McDonough were named Champions of their division earlier this month.
