Funeral services for Elaine were held on Friday March 5, 2021 at Hampton United Methodist Church with Dr. Jordan Thrasher officiating. Interment followed at Berea Cemetery in Hampton. Dale Keith Andrews, Sr.

  Dale Keith Andrews, Sr., age 68, Former Minister of 1st Baptist Church of Ellenwood and former Hospital Chaplain at Henry Medical Center, passed away on March 16, 2021 at Virginia Medical Center in Seattle, Wash. Dale was born on July 19, 1952 in Miami, Florida to Wade Elmer and Betsy Ann (Sorrell) Andrews. He grew up in Miami and graduated from Miami Carol City High School in 1970. He then attended Miami Dade Jr. College and the University of Miami. Dale worked for Bell Telephone South from 72-85 as a cable splicer. In 1985, he became “Mr. Mom” at home, taking care of his two kids. In 1988, he joined Liberty Bible Institute in Lynchburg, Va., and became an ordained Southern Baptist Minister in April 1993. He served as minister of 1st Baptist Church of Ellenwood, Ga., from 1988-99. He also worked as Chaplain at Henry Medical Center in Stockbridge, Ga., from 1994-2000. Dale entered the Center for Visually Impaired in 2000-2001 and received his Basic Studies Degree. He then attended the Atlanta School of Massage and earned a degree for Massage Therapy and Deep Clinical Massage. He practiced for the next four years. Dale started to lose his eyesight in his right eye due to Eyeritis in 1973. By 1980, he had to have his right eye removed. Two years later his eyesight in his left eye declined so much that he was legally blind, and by 1988 was totally blind. An operation brought back some of his sight, but was again totally blind by 2006. In 2004, Dale met Dawn Makos at Pilot Dogs Inc. and followed her to Cosmopolis, Wash., and on March 31, 2005 they were married in Lacey, Wash. Dale was a member and Associate Pastor of South Aberdeen Baptist Church, a member of their Worship Team; President of SIGHT (Sight Impaired of Grays Harbor Together) an organization started by his late wife Dawn Andrews; He served on the Hazardous Mitigation Committee for Cosmopolis and was also currently serving as a councilman on the City of Cosmopolis Board for the last four years. Dale was preceded in death by his wife Dawn Andrews on July 23, 2011.

  Dale is survived by his daughter, Amanda (Brandon) Taylor of Huntsville, Ala., and a son, Dale K. (Anissa) Andrews Jr. of Locust Grove, Ga.; a brother Randall (Bethann) Andrews of Jacksonville, Fla.; Grandchildren: Hailey, Addison and Collins Taylor; in-laws, Ron and Candice Makos of Cosmopolis, Wash.; sister-in-law, Kerry Fuller of Aberdeen, Wash.; Nieces: Madi McKay of Cosmopolis and Allyson Andrews of Jacksonville, Fla.

  A graveside service for Dale was held on Monday, March 22, 2021 at at Forest Hill Cemetery, Cosmopolis, Wash. The family suggests that donations be made to Pilot Dogs, Inc., 625 W. Town St., Columbus, Ohio 43215. Arrangements entrusted to Twibell’s Fern Hill Funeral Home in Aberdeen, WA.

James Terry Smith

  James Terry Smith, age 50, of Locust Grove, Ga., died on Monday, March 22, 2021. He was born in Rockmart, Ga., to Glenda Ball Smith and the late Harvey Ray Smith. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by additional family.

  James was one of the co-founders and a member of The Georgia 501st, TK271. He loved his trucking family, his dogs and his collections. He spent time in Germany after college and was  a known foodie. He enjoyed gem mining and attending festivals, especially Dragon Con.

  James is survived by his mother, Glenda Ball Smith; brother, Tyler Smith; aunts, cousins and extended family.

  The family will receive friends Saturday, April 10, 2021  from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m.  at Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors. Orion Jenkins Holder

  Mrs. Orion Jenkins Holder, age 85, of Jonesboro, Ga., passed away March 31, 2021. She was born in Dekalb County, Ga., to the late Ruben Woodrow and Ruth Irene Brown Jenkins. Orion was a member of Noah’s Ark Church and was an accomplished author, having written five books. She was working on her memoirs at the time of her passing. She was preceded in death by her husband, Troy Eugene Holder, grandson, Anthony Rogers, brother, Reuben Walter Jenkins and his wife Emily Jenkins.

  Survivors include her daughter, Darlene (Wayne Calhoun) Holder; grandsons, Jason (Jennifer) Rogers and Broddie Calhoun; great grandchildren, Lexii Lewis, Joey Stout and Tyler McMichael; brother, Ronald (Valerie) Jenkins.

  A celebration of life was held at the graveside on Saturday, April 3, 2021 at Fairview Memorial Gardens. Mark Daniel Meason

  Mark Daniel Meason, “Bird,” age 49, of Stockbridge, Ga., passed on March 21, 2021. Mark was born on May 26, 1971. Mark had many titles in life. He was son, brother, daddy, uncle and friend. He never ceased to amaze those who knew him. His laughter, silent acts of kindness, and most of all his “witticisms” will be missed. He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Meason “Skipper.”

  Mark is survived by his son: James Meason (Hannah); daughter, Jessica Ferrell (Lee), granddaughter: Crymson Rose; mother: Brenda Russell (David); brothers: Mike (Amy), Charlie, Matt, John (Krista); sisters: Monica, Elizabeth (Derek), Katie (John); nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
